which would you rather see/are expecting in the movie: the tranformers blasting the slag out of eachother with various guns and plasma cannons and whatnot, or them slicing, dicing, smacking, stabbing, punching, throwing, kicking, swinging at eachother? im hoping more Melee kind of action personally, and with Primes new second sword, Herp and Derp's oversized fists, and Sideswipes blades, im kinda expecting more violence than blasting. which is good ^_^ though i still like the shooting now and then, esp if Ironhide is the one doing the shooting
Melee combat was more enjoyable to watch in the first movie, but I wouldn't want a movie without gun combat.
Melee weapons/combat allow for more dynamic and enjoyable fight sequences. It's simply more watchable than a bunch of figures crouched behind walls and around corners, occasionally exposing an arm to fire off a round or two before quickly retreating back to the safety of their concealment. *hide* *blam blam* *hide* *repeat until the plot requires someone to foolishly run out into the open and be hit* Bleh. Boring. Giant robots (or anything else for that matter) getting down and dirty however, throwing haymakers, sliding swords into necks, snarling faces two-inches apart... now THAT'S entertainment.
a bit of gun play then let them charge at each other like a couple of Sumo wrestlers fighting over an all you can eat buffet ( apologies to any japanese people who maybe offended by this)
A combination of both types of combat would be ace. A little charging with guns ablazing or a combined volley of gunfire plus up close and personal pummelling action is all nice.
