Via Shockwave Lab Weibo. Interesting idea. These are 15 long / short magnetic studs/fillers to solve the "emptiness" in the chest of Siege Micromasters. Easy to install and they have a small sculpted detail on top, so they are not just plain circles.

Okay but why magnetic plugs as opposed to plastic ones?

For that matter, why are they not using plastic that would actually match the figures? We'd basically be paying for black parts to fill blackish PEG holes.

Probably because that way one can more easily remove them if they want to unscrew the figure or otherwise adjust it.

I seen this at Transfans and was like... WHY? There have been many unnecessary and dumb third party ideas but this is the dumbest I have seen. Y\'d essentially neuter the combiner hole on the figures, making them unuseable as combining weapons. And also, it makes the toy LESS G1 accurate, because newsflash, the original Micromasters all had screw holes in their chests too, often even the artwork incoprorated them.

So you can easily take the plugs out to form the weapon mode.

This seems unnecessary to me. I'll pass, but that's me.

Why use magnets you might ask? To try to justify whatever crazy price these will cost! Lol
This seems like something that could easily be 3D printed.

To be fair, not everyone acknowledges the "weapon modes".

    I know I sure don't. :lol

This is just way too petty. I never gave a crap about screw holes. They are a necessary evil. I dont give a crap about the stupid weapon modes either, but covering the holes is just too petty.

We're about to enter a world where people start complaining about screw-holes on figures, aren't we?

I would also like similar plugs to fill the holes in all of my toys\' open fists, please.

I appreciate screw hole covers included in a baggy for use on my mp figures. But this seems pointless for these figures.

I think it's understandably different when the screw-hole is almost half the width of the entire chest.

Because every chest is a different color, and many of them are painted anyway. If you buy these, it's reasonable to expect you to also paint them on your own.

to be fair they’re micromasters. It took the cassettes inclusion for me to say “well I finally know the names of a couple micromasters” and I had all of them when I was a kid and I didn’t know a single one of their names and even now owning all the siege ones I still don’t know their names.

I've never undertood the complaints of folks hating screws being visible on ROBOT toys, but yeah, here we are.

Honestly, I'm right there with you, as I have no idea of what the names are for most of the Micromasters on my shelf. :lol
