    Ebay:
I just found out that the new Shockwave KO reissue is already available, boxed, and that there are 2 versions, one with a purple barrel and one with a grey barrel just like the original. Please check here:

Transformers G1 Spotlight Shockwave KO Reissue IN BOX For Sale

Vintage collectors must be careful with the grey barrel versions...

    Best regards

I have known about this since last week I am surprised it took so long to get on board here. Another dropped opportunity by Hasbro :O(

My original Shockwave has black screws, not silver like I'm seeing on the KO.

100 bucks total for a KO? Do people who collect KO pay this much for them?

The prices are a bit steep, but the way I see it you get a minty fresh figure with a nice repro box for a lot cheaper than a sealed original.
The quality is comparable to the TakTomy/Hasbro reissues, and those would probably cost around the same as well.

I'll definately be picking this up when I have some spare cash!

Hasbro would have to license it. KO makers don't do that. That's why they're KOs.

No variation, the purple barrel are pre-production pics from a few months ago.

I was offered an early paint prototype where the blue was a bit off. I haven't seen the box yet but I hear it is finished.

edit: there is another variation coming out that you guys should like.
