Not only that, but he got to be the slowest walker ever. Atleast 10 minute passed by the time we see him again.... Im just so disappoint on a character wasted....
Well, yeah...but still, he walked from one corner to the next, Optimus was still stuck in wires, wreckers climb the wires..sam and gang were playing slide across the floor for awhile...
That also a peeved I had, when stands still he can look straight...but when he walks, hes looking for quarters...
Shockwave is too cool to look at explosions. He just walks away slowly on purpose. The more he ignores it, the cooler it gets
He walks so slow, because his gun is really heavy. Trust me, you would be walking slow if you had a weapon as big as he does you would be walking slow. It's amazing enough he can support it with one arm. EDIT: That is probably why he uses the Driller for transportation.
So, they're weak because they died? I'm sure that someone else can explain this better than me, but... -Wreckers (*cough*ThreeToughAutobots*cough*) assault Shockwave with machine gun fire. He blocks it and shrugs it off like it was nothing. -He commands a giant robot kraken. -He knocks Optimus out of the sky (one missile out of five-ish ain't bad), taking him out of the picture (thanks to some cables) for a fair amount of time. -Soldiers block his vision with a parachute, attempting to inhibit him. -A horde of soldiers pound him with fire. -The Wreckers (*cough*ThreeToughAutobots*cough*) show up and once again pour machine gun fire into his chassis. All this really succeeds in is distracting him. -Optimus shows up, punches a a car-sized chunk out of Shockwave's torso. Still fights. Optimus punches more and then rips out his optic. Now Shockwave is dead. That's pretty tough if you ask me. Similar to Brawl in the first film. A wide variety of techniques, weapons and characters teaming up to take him down. As for Soundwave, well, he didn't spend much time "in the field", so I don't think we can really argue this one either way. He fought once, with Bumblebee (the heroic kid-friendly one-character merchandising machine). And died. So did Brawl, Ravage and Rampage. Honestly, if you go up against 'Bee, you're screwed. Why? Because of $$$, that's why. Was Soundwave ever really portrayed as being a near-unkillable warrior with amazing fighting skills? And then there's THIS.
But how does he die? He dies of punches or he dies because his eye is connected to his spark? I don't really get it why he dies?
Quite a good point, both of you. And Soundwave wasn't weak, he got surprised and shot through the chest, he's the intelligence officer, not a warrior. He can be scary and deadly for a human, but Bee is a warrior/scout.
I don't see how one can say that Shockwave was represented as being weak in this movie. I think TylerMirage summed it up rather nicely in his previous post. There is also another thing he did not mention and it is that one of the humans who jumped on parachutes lands on his shoulder and plants a bomb (the same time of bomb that killed Starscream) in his neck. This manages to do some serious damage to Shockwave, but he still keeps fighting, just as he kept fighting even after Optimus blows half of his torso. Shockwave was presented as a very tough and resistant beast, not as weak. As far as Soundwave goes, I think it has more to do with Bumblebee being way too overpowered in the movies, but we also never saw that Soundwave was meant to be all that powerful either.
