Was anybody aware that in 2012, there was this idea to launch a Transformers/DC Universe Crossover event that was (tragically) canned by DC Comics' New 52 relaunch? Below is pitch artwork created for said event: From left to right: Aquaman and an unknown Autobot fighting Piranacon and Submarauder near Atlantis; the left face of an unknown Decepticon; Robin standing on the left shoulder of a Transformer-sized robotic Batsuit or Transforming Batwing as Sideswipe, Prowl, Sunstreaker, and Black Canary stand over the Stunticons in Gotham City; Unicron's left hand about to grab Earth while below, Megatron stands above the Fortress of Solitude as Thrust, Starscream, and Thundercracker fly by; Arcee, Mirage, Ratchet, and Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet turned Transformer in Themyscira; The Flash being chased by a swarm of Insecticons in Central City; Optimus Prime leading the Green Lantern Corps through space as a Green Lantern.
I read any crap like that. Bit of fun, doubt it would have been any better than avengers / transformers comic, or most of the G I Joe crossovers.
I forgot about this, but I have seen it before, completely forgot it was supposed to be an actual thing. It would have been awesome to see Aquaman fight the Seacons, but Wonder Woman's invisible jet transforming? Oh my god yes! I would love to see them revisit this concept considering how friendly DC and IDW are with each other at the moment. I can guarantee at the very least it would have been a hell of a lot better than New Avengers/Transformers.
Hmm, your right. Someone should remind them of this concept. Might just get the ball rolling. And Transformers is one of IDW's biggest properties... There IS incentive here.
