id agree with ROTF Ratchet as there is absolutely nothing to make those that have the 2007 toy buy it, i bought it asi did not have a Ratchet at all , my bots feel much better now that they have a medic :lol

In my area, it seems that Soundwave and Bumblebee (both packaged in robot mode) are the current shelfwarmers for the line. Everything else seems to be selling well. Very few Ratchets, thankfully as they are not selling. Neither is Demolisher. There are a lot of Ironhides, but they seem to be selling well.

Stop right there. I think that some of the new Animated toys won't sell as well, but they certainly ALL won't be shelfwarmers.

Ultimate Bumblebee, Supreme Devastator. Both too expensive for what they are. I can't see many kids choosing a giant Bumblebee over eight or so Deluxes, and the general fan concensus seems to be those toys are shit, so I don't really know who'll be buying them.

The only figure I will say will shelfwarm with 100% certainty is ROTF Desert Tracker Ratchet. The only reason I can see for anyone buying this is if they didn't get one with the first movie. No change=no chance in my opinion.

Preview Bumblebee takes up 75% of Deluxe shelf space in my area, though this may be due to the retailers over-ordering him since he's the kid-appeal/face of the movie.

My local Wal-Mart has a crapload of Ironhides and Demolishors. Those same ones have been there since May 30th. Sideways and Rampage are the only Deluxes shelfwarming, and all the Fast Action Battlers.

Leader Megatron - because he's to expensive for most people. Those who buy a leader will probably choose optimus prime. Jetfire is huge in alt mode and a new character AND combines with prime and will probably be short-packed so he'll fly off the shelves.
Voyager Ratchet - for the reasons everyone else has already stated, not much of a repaint.
Voyager Demolishor - his alt mode is weird enough that a lot of people will shy away from it unless he's badass in the movie.
2-Pack Whirl/Bludgeon - because they are non-movie characters and TRU tends to make waaay to many of its exclusives which shelf-warm (blackout/scroponok, jetstorm, wingblade, red alert, injector?. . .)
Deluxe Smokescreen - non-movie, repaint of jazz, color's not bold enough for kids

Oh, and depending on his role in the movie, Starscream might end up warming also.

    - Ultimate Bumblebee - It's ~$90, people who have the first one aren't likely to buy it again, the first one shelf-warmed until it went on serious clearance, etc.
    - Bumblebee "Role Play" items (Cannon, Helmet) - The Optimus Prime helmet, Big Rig Blaster and Barrel Roll Blaster hung around in my area until late 2008, so I don't think these things in general are that popular. The Bumblebee items also don't seem to be moving much at all, that I've seen.
    - Wave 1 Voyagers - Optimus Prime and Ironhide, especially don't seem to be moving at all around here and even Starscream and Demolishor are going slower than I'd expected.
    - Preview Bumblebee - Shelfwarming already, as far as I've seen, and I can't see that improving with another Deluxe Bumblebee hitting mass release soon.
    - SDCC 2009 exclusive Mighty Muggs Optimus Prime - Not technically a shelf-warmer, but I can see this sitting in stock at HTS for a long time. Mighty Muggs weren't that popular at retail and this is just a "metallic" repaint, not even a new character.
    - TRU-exclusive Countdown and Darkwind - Because TRU never puts their exclusives on sale/clearance and because the TRUs near me still have an assload of their last batch of Ultra exclusives (TFTM Jetstorm, Wingblade).
    - Animated (non-show character) repaints - Golfire Grimlock, Freeway Jazz, maybe E-Soundwave.
    - Target exclusive 6" Titanium Optimus Prime and Hot Zone.

    Unsure

    - Supreme Devastator - Collectors are pissed off about it, but I think enough people might cave. It's a little expensive for kids, but if Devastator makes enough of an impression on them, it might be a popular item. Then again, it's $100.

The preview Bumblebee figure seems to be the popular shelfwarmer, but then again it seems a lot of movie toys are hanging around a long time in Wal Marts and Targets. I think it's due to these stores ordering so many of em . . . I think after the movie premiers all the toys will be gone (INCLUDING RATCHET!)
