Yes but Primus is never mentioned in this series, Eternia despite the cast not knowing what it means is constantly used. And if the were going to use Primus we wouldn't still have "For the Honor of Greyskull" And remember the Swords of Power/Protection come from Eternia Honestly either Entrapta will be used to fix/upgrade the Sword of Protection, or Adora will make use of the spaceship to go back to Eternia in Hope of useing Greyskull's Forge in Castle Greyskull.
It could really go either way. I'm sure Eternia will be introduced. I'm just not so sure that the people of Eternia are going to be evil or all of them anyways. Especially since the new big bad was just introduced.
I'll be disappointed if He-Man doesn't show up. Have him be based more on the New Adventures version, to differentiate it from the upcoming He-Man series.
I definitely think they will and using NA Adam/He-Mam would work in the current universe. The show has been hinting at the larger universe and I can't imagine the show runner not taking up the chance to introduce Adora's family given that's a big mystery that they've been skirting around. That said I'm kimd of worried at how the show runner might treat Adam as a character given how many of the token males have been treated on the show. Only male character that's not a joke im some way is Bow... the guy everyone used to make fun of in the original series as being girly. Go figure.
Actually my wife made that comment when the show first aired. She said Catra looked like she could fit in with the 2011 Thundercats redesigns.
I like this show but I definitely preferred the previous season! Hordak is so disappointing, and he doesn't really have 'The Horde' members to back him up either
Yeah cuz unless the character is female the showrunner doesn't give a crap about them, males are either comedy relief or are so weak they are barely a threat to the females. 4 Seasons and only 2 classic Male Horde members have appeared. Grizzlor is a background character and Tung Lashor was killed off in his only appearance.
Yeah, both of those examples are pretty cringe worthy. And let's not forget that Hordak is the big bad but little whiny Catra managed to somehow managed to take him out in the S4 finale. Now we have Twinkdak as the main villain for next season.
I'm not surprised. I'm glad it's ending on its own terms and at such a good length. As we've seen these past couple of years, even streaming shows can get canned prematurely. That's a problem that DreamWorks cartoons rarely have.
I think they have some kind of deal with Netflix that pretty much guarantees that any show of their's on the platform gets a full run? That is, they ordered [X] number of episodes, so they're getting [X] number of episodes. Don't quote me on that, I'm not 100% sure that's accurate.
I think it was something more like: Nextfilx orders [X] number of episodes of Dreamworks content, and Dreamworks gets to decide what shows to make as well as how many of their allotted episodes to give to each show. So Dreamworks isn't in danger of cancelling any series Dreamworks still wants to make, as long as they planned enough episodes for it in advance. But Dreamworks could conceivably reallocate some of their episode count away from one show and give it to another if they had a good enough reason.
Meh, I was pretty disappointed in this show anyway. Call me "sexist" if you want, I don't care. I didn't like the character designs for this show, and I would've preferred it be for more action oriented. I'm looking forward to Kevin Smith's He-Man series.
The style isn't my preference, but it's still a big step up from a lot of other adventure cartoons nowadays. The tone gets a little more "lolwut" and "wink-wink" than I like sometimes, but again, not as bad as others. The action is fine, but not amazing. But the lore is presented in a way that feels less haphazard than the original, and that makes it feel bigger and more significant, even though they've used only a fraction of it. And the character development is leaps and bounds past anything the original shows ever did outside of Secret of the Sword. So I'm going to remember this series fondly, even though it wasn't "for me."
