That's a good point. I wonder if Johns considered it.

Wonder Woman and Supergirl wear skirts.

As for Mary being dressed in white, I don't think the lightning bolt would show up well on an outfit of that color.

You're color blind, so you can't see colors properly. On that claim, let me just say that Freddy and Darla are wearing blue and purple, while Eugene and Pedro are wearing gray and green. All four colors are different and distinct.

I did like that Darla had a distinctly different outfit that fit a speedster well. I liked her race with the Flash in the credits.

Wonder Woman originally had more of a bathing suit kinda look before they gave her a skirt. Supergirl at least isn't a child... Though her actual age is kinda questionable since she kinda appears like a teenager but is suppose to be older than Superman.

I've also seen a few updated versions of Supergirl where someone finally thought to give her pants... or at least shorts rather than a skirt.

Do what now? This is the first appearance of Wonder Woman, complete with skirt.

    Two things...

    1. This is the costume she wore for years before the battle skirt we see in the movie.

    2. The picture you posted does not show Wonder Woman in a skirt... That's a skort. It's designed to look like a skirt but is actually a pair of shorts. If you look at other images of the same costume you can clearly see the seam between her legs.

Looks like a skirt right? Here's the same toy in a different pose.

Notice the very obvious triangle. Here you can clearly see the legs.

Saber's right. It looked like a skirt, and many modern creators who should know better misinterpret it as having been a skirt, but wasn't. Maybe because billowy shorts like that have not existed in our lifetimes, so people have no frame of reference and just assume the skirt-looking thing was a skirt.

On the other hand, in the post-CoIE reboot, when Byrne reintroduced a Golden Age Wonder Woman into continuity (using Hippolyta), she did first wear an actual skirt.

That joke might land better if Captain Marvel was what he says to transform. But it isn’t so......swing and a miss.

Wasn't a fan of this one. Watched it with zero expectations other than it hopefully being a mindlessly enjoyable & funny superhero flick, but unfortunately don't think it delivered on either of those fronts. To me, it felt like it was aimed at an age range of 14 and under vs. the sort of 'universal' age range of most superhero movies these days, and that really took me out of it. I also don't think either actor playing Billy looked, sounded or acted like their counterpart. Young Billy is all super morose and poo-poo emo all the time, but Shazam Billy is instantly a wise cracking, smiley, almost hyper version of the same person... which doesn't line up at all. Also thought they were seriously heavy handed in trying to tie this in with the existing DCEU nonsense.

I did like the little kid that played Darla, though - thought she stole every scene she was in - and appreciated the mini nod to Big considering that's more or less what this was. And while I may not have liked it, I can see how/why it did okay.

Figures they'd come up with a Superman suit I really like AFTER completely killing off his franchise.

Shazam's Zachary Levi Has News That May Disappoint Black Adam Fans

Fans who were hoping to see Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam and Zachary Levi's Shazam fight on the big screen in Shazam! 2 should prepare for disappointment. Appearing at the CCXP Cologne convention, Shazam! star Zachary Levi revealed that Johnson's Black Adam probably won't go up against his titular superhero until a potential third movie.

"I can say that as far as I know, Black Adam is not going to be in the second Shazam!," the actor said, "because the idea is that they want to go and do a standalone Black Adam movie first. And then it would kind of be, if we do a third Shazam! and a second Black Adam, kind of [parallel] like that, that’s where we would [meet]."

According to the actor, this is a confrontation that needs be built up to and earned "because he’s like the ultimate bad guy for Captain Marvel, Shazam," Levi explained. "Like [Shazam and] Black Adam, they’re doppelgängers right, the evil twin to who I am. So that’s got to be like the final battle. If we do that in the second movie, then where do we go after that? It would just be a movie of us sitting around playing video games for the third one, that would be very boring. Or not [laughs]. I’m a very interesting video game player. So yeah, I think that’s the idea. We’ll definitely [cross over] — the plan is to get there, but just to pace it out however it needs to pace out."

Sounds fair. Let the Monster Society and Mr Mind have their spotlight.

Smart move on their part taking their time with a character such as Black Adam. It'll make the eventual confrontation between him and Shazam be more of an event. Besides I was hoping they'd get around doing Mr Mind and the Monster Society of Evil in the second movie anyway so this is fine.
