Ok, since Shattered Glass is out there and there is sure to be either fan fiction or future Convention comics, I was thinking - The Constructicons, in Gestalt form, are know as Landfill (Devestator is too evil sounding for the heroic Decepticons) - Thundercracker is probably more convinced of the Decepticon cause, Skywarp is more light hearted and won't kick a bot down the stairs, etc. - Shockwave would be in Astro Magnum or maybe Ultra Magnus colors, but still fueled by logic - Soundwave is probably the equivalant to Blaster in the regular universe (talks like Blaster, etc) - Ultra Magnus is my guess in Shockwave's colors, and still can't deal with it now.... - The Decepticons human allies would either be Spike, Chip etc. Or, since this is a dark univerese a la Mirror Mirror, the villanous/ evil humans who occarionally aided the Decepticons in G 1 are now the opposite where Spike would help the Autobots try to conquer the universe - Like wise, Unicron is probably either the same, a devour who would now seek out the Autobot wrecks and so on. Am I right on these assumptions?
Of these that you mentioned, the only one who's actually come out in any Shattered Glass fiction is Soundwave, and he talks like a surfer dude. Also, according to your theory, if Shattered Shockwave is still fueled by logic, he should REALLY be in Prowl's colors. Prowl is supposed to be Shockwave's counterpart, not Magnus. It would make more sense for Shattered Magnus to have Galvatron's colors. Also, Unicron wouldn't be any different than usual since the Shattered Glass verse is full fledgedly a part of the multiversal theory of one Primus, one Unicron throughout the multiverse.
I like the notion of Unicron reformatting broken Autobot corpses. Imagine a Galvatron-style Optimus Prime! (I am, of course, assuming that Nemesis Prime would not be the upgrade as he is just normal Prime in different colours.)
I've had this concept for Universe Nemesis Prime for the longest time. See, the way I see the Shatteredverse Matrix, instead of being passed from wise leader to wise leader, it passes from conqueror to conqueror. You do not get the Matrix passed to you, for you to be the rightful holder, you need to tear it out of the previous holder. Now, at some point, I see Shatteredverse Rodimus doing this to his Optimus Prime, and upgrading into a Titanium Menasor coloured Rodimus Prime. He dumps Optimus Prime's body in space after kicking him out of Omega Supreme. Optimus Prime is found by Unicron and offered the chance to be rebuilt, same as Galvatron. Optimus Prime refuses. Remember his bio made mention that he saw something that drove him insane? I'm thinking he saw a glimpse at the Multiverse and Unicron. He knows that Unicron is coming to devour his universe and decided to take the only rational course of action - he formed the largest military force in history to confront him, but kept the truth to himself. Basically, he refuses the serve the very one he's been gearing up to fight. Unicron decides to break him anyway, and turns him into the Nemesis Prime. The end result is totally insane and made up of millions of fragmented memories and stuff, like the bio for Nemesis suggests, and subject completely to Unicron's whims. Unicron just ends up sending him wherever he needs things destroyed, and Nemesis does it. It's a variation on the Galvatron insanity that takes in the "official" origin story for the many different iterations of Nemesis Prime, and reconciles it with the hints behind the origin of evil Optimus Prime in the Shatteredverse. Because the entire Shatteredverse seems to boil down to that one single point - what if Optimus Prime turned evil instead of good? Of course, Megatron being a scholar and not a gladiator is another major difference.
But who would suceed Megatron? Starscream in Shatteredverse is a competent, noble scientist.....maybe Cyclonus. Or maybe Megatron would survive a fight with Prime this time...
Maybe pull and IDW and have Galvatron as a separate character from Megatron who could appear and assume the leadership of the noble Decepticons after a long absence out in the universe.
Shattered-Verse Nemesis Megatron? Or a Megatron/Optimus from another universe or even a Galvatron(I'm sure there's a spare left over from the Marvel run)?
Hmm, I like some of the ideas presented... In the final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron, both are critically wounded. During their retreat in Omega Supreme (Astrotrain colors), the traitorous Hot Rod rips out the matrix from Optimus' body and flings him and his most loyal into space. (...Trying to think of some Autobots who managed total body changes here that we can rename pre movie characters into) Meanwhile, in the newly built Decepticon City on Earth, Megatron barely clings to life. Hook (In protectibot colors), works frantically to keep him stable, but Megatron's spark continues to fade, and he turns grey as his onlookers weep. (Fanwank entry: Nightbird in Arcee colors. She was given a spark after the Decepticons liberated her from a human scientist who was using Cybertronian corpses to create sparkless assassins) However, he flashed back to life with a cry of 'I still function!' That said, he's still too beat up to continue as he is. With massive recontruction he takes on a new form, and a new name. How's that for spur of the moment retelling?
I would like to see a good Unicron for once. It's the Shattered Glass universe, anything could happen!
I did some SG stuff. Some of which is relevant to what you mentioned. Ultra Magnus V1 V2 Ultra Magnus (Armored) V1 V2 Unicron Primus Leader 1 Star Saber Victory Leo Victory Saber
I just going to make a similar topic about this... is the convention comic the only official story of Shattered glass so far... i've seen another issue being advertised that has megatron on the cover... is that just the same story but in a non-convention issue?
I think Shattered Glass Magnus would be a hardered battle field general who can take on anything and strives to be ruler of the autobots, as opposed to normal magnus who while still an accomplished field commander, doesn't strive for anything more than his current position.
Ok ok ok, Sol's idea is great, but it doesnt really follow the Shattered Verses guidelines. I like the idea that the matrix gets passed from one conqueror to another, that is good stuff. But wasnt Nemesis Prime supposed to be a clone created by Shockwave? I think that the Noble Decepticons should be hatching a plan to replace Optimus Prime with their own agent to steer the Evil Autobots into losing battles. Basically taking them apart from the inside out. But obviously something goes wrong. Lets see, the original Nemesis Prime is supposed to be pretty evil stuff. So the Shattered Glass NP should be pretty good stuff. Perhaps he just goes all vigilante rogue style or something. yeah...or something.
I love the Ultra Magnus in Galvatron's Colors, but I think it might be too close to SG Prime. But damnit do I want a SG Magnus with FansProject Armor to go along with it. In either of those color schemes. I like the teal one too. Is that based off anyone in particular?
