Spot UV is a coating that usually goes on advertisements & business cards. Basically it makes things look shiny. It's typically applied to words or parts of an image to make them pop. I've been out of comics for a while but it doesn't surprise me that it's being used on covers

 

I mean, I personally feel this works better for the era we're in. That design was born more out of necessity, given how few classic Megatron figures existed when it designs. Now we have a good G1 styled Megatron, so to give it the feeling that this is an alternate universe Megatron, this really works.

In the event there are more of these guys, Cyclonus would be based upon the Kingdom Cyclonus Mold. Starscream would be based upon the Siege Seeker Mold. Rumbler (the Tank that is normally his weapon) could be based upon the Siege Battle Patrol or either Siege Brunt or Kingdom Slammer. Meanwhile, they could also release Nexus Maximus/Nexus Prime with Heatwave from CW Hot Spot/Onslaught, Skyfall from CW Fireflight, Landquake from CW Brawl, Breakaway from CW Air Raid, and Topspin from CW Vortex/Blades. Also, imagine Siege Ravage as SG Ravage. Shattered Glass Stepper from SS86 Jazz. Also, Shattered Glass Soundwave from the "Earthrise" Soundwave would be totally rad, especially if they release a cloth headband like they released the Cloth pieces for the Con Crew from Bot Bots. It would be totally wicked if they had the figure transform without being taken off, but even if they were to take it off to transform, that would be cool (yes, I was talking like Shattered Glass Soundwave).

 

And I don't feel it's fair for people to call the great figure we're getting 'shit'. Cest la vie.

The descriptions for the characters in the comic, as well as were the story is when the comics starts like with Earth destroyed is already out for Blurr and Megatron.

Well I think blue eyes work better for SG Megatron,



But I do think all G1 Megs should have Yellow eyes with the black helmet like how Optimus should have Yellow eyes be default.

 

To be fair, it's not like this is the funpub SG continuity, so changes should be expected

 

That's what I was talking about, since he was asking how people knew about Megatron's/Blurr's new Origin.

Speaking of Funpub's SG, I do think their origin for Megatron so far is much better (as well as his and other's designs), but I only really like the first comic of their SG and the rest I find meh or bad. So hopefully the new mini-series is a step up.

And even if it isn't, the art alone will make it worth the read.
