Does it exist?

 

Technically not yet, but FunPub will doubtless want to do it at some point, probably closer to the actual BW 20th anniversary.

 

Last year's TCC magazine comic was 'Beast Wars Shattered Glass', but it was actually about Autobots and Decepticons from the Classics universe being transported into the Shattered Glass universe's past and taking on beast modes.

However, said comic did end with the arrival of Megatron and his Heroic Predacons, so should Fun Pub ever choose to pick up that plot hook we might get a more 'traditional' SG Beast Wars.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if we got a two-pack from the Collector's Club at some point of SG Beast Wars Megs and Waspinator, since they're the only two Preds who aren't re-purposed from another toy, and it would also mirror the attendee set of those two from Botcon '06.

 

The Fox Kids repaints should be the SG deco schemes for the character that got repaint under that subline.

 

They are releasing that blue Terrorsaur in the movie line.

 

I don't know much about the story, but at least the SG Darksyde crew have been visualized.

 

They do look a little heroic

 

Oh wow, Megatron just has Primal's colours, huh?

SG is just.... just so original. (which sucks because the rest of the Predacons being repurposes are kind of clever, like Sandstorm as Scorponok, if a bit random with TM Tarantulas)

 

What I'm wondering is how would Dinobot workout? Would he turn traitor, or would the evil Optimus Primal reprogram him?
And how would Balckarachnia, Inferno, Rampage, and Quickstrike become heroic Predacons? By choice? Be reprogrammed?

Except for Tarantulas. Would you want to be rescued by him?

 

Tarantulas still looks creepy, but I love how the rest of them look...

 

Dinobot: heroic Predacon who defects and joins the evil Maximals. No reprogramming. He's a bad guy... or is he? Everyone on both sides suspect him of being a double agent. Only Megatron knows for sure.

Blackarachnia: evil Maximal protoform implanted with a shell program by Tarantulas that turns her heroic. When she learns of this, she struggles with her own identity. Is she good or evil?

Inferno: His insanity and pyromania cause him to remain a member of the evil Maximals after his stasis pod activates. He never joins the Predacons.

Rampage: the result of an evil Maximal experiment to create the ultimate unkillable soldier, "Protoform X" was deemed a failure because, despite having an indestructible Spark, he was disgusted by combat and craved only peace and serenity. The secret mission of the Axalon was to dump Rampage somewhere far... someplace barren. Revived on prehistoric Earth, Rampage joined the heroic Predacons. Some time later, the sadistic Maximal security officer Depth Charge arrived on Earth hunting Rampage. Depth Charge desired to kill Rampage because he was the only surviving eyewitness to the massacre on Colony Omicron perpetrated by Depth Charge himself. (I've thought a lot about SG Rampage.)

Quickstrike: He's aggressive, but Megatron was successful in helping him channel that aggression in a more positive way, and he joined the Predacons in honor of his mentor. But knowing that he's a Maximal protoform has always made him wonder if he'd fit in better on the other side...

 

I imagine Quickstrike would be some sort of super-competent samurai (Mirroring SG Bludgeon being a cowboy).

Rampage?? Umm, he might be a wicked cuddly gentle giant as opposed to the soulless killing machine the Maximals wanted.

As for Black Arachnia and Inferno? Maybe they would be reprogrammed by Tarantulas removing shell programs from them instead of applying them?

Black Arachnia would probably be the most prim and proper of girly-girls.

Inferno, meanwhile, would likely be a pyrophobic environmentalist whose loyalty to the Preds is...questionable at best.

 

What lazy storytelling.

 

Of course the question that would also need to be answered is who's running the show on the Maximal side of the war, SG Optimus Primal... or SG Rhinox?

 

I hope one day this shattered glass crap ends.

 

I think we'd start off with Primal in charge, but Rhinox would probably be plotting Primal's overthrow. He might even almost succeed, but his downfall would probably be what Pred Rhinox's problem was in regular Beast Wars: Gloating too much and not finishing the job.

 

Megatron looks great with Primal's colours.

Is Waspinator supposed to have Cheetor's deco or his Fox Kids deco scheme?
