Yeah, I have Rikka and Akane on PO and Gridman and Gridknight in my PoL at BBTS. But I have such a hankering for something transforming like the OG Gridman figures from Takara in the 90s that isn't a model kit/brick.

There's also this which is probably the closet there is to a Figuarts and a transforming support mech:

But I haven't had any experience with that company before.

 

I would stay very far away from any evolution toys product. They're typically poor engineered, use cheap KO plastic and charge an arm and a leg for junk.

They could even reference the first movie toyline with all those Unicron Trilogy redecoes even more.

Me too!! I think one of the reasons they haven’t is because he’s not just a repaint of G1 Megatron. I’d have loved to have a repaint of TR Skyshadow with a Megatron-y head as SG Megatron. He would even have the tank!

 

Hasbro, Takara, baby, give Trigger a transformers license. They will probably disembowel themselves if you don't... Or just keep blatantly homaging them for the rest of existence.

...which I just think is positively wild, that a whole studio loves Transformers as much as they do. As much as we do! It makes one pause and wonder why, as y'all suggested, they've not been given an official license; could it be that Hasbro just doesn't see it appropriate to market a show to collectors? No, that couldn't be, given this phantom Netflix show they've got in the works, so what's going on?

 

I can assure you the people in charge of the Transformers brand have no idea Gridman, or Trigger exists. They went with Machinima because it was most likely cheap and they thought it would be well known(and we all know how Combiner Wars turned out. Coming out after the line was over and being arguable the worst cartoon in this franchise with cheap animation.)

Then they most likely approached Rooster Teeth because of it’s success with Rwby and Gen:Lock and thought they would be “cool” enough to do it and the fanbase would enjoy it. Of course that has backfired, as Rooster Teeth went through internal shifts and for all we know production hasn’t even started and we are already moving on to the next line in the trilogy.

The only official acknowledgment of Trigger and it’s fanboy staff was an SG Rodimus shirt Takara licensed one of their artists to do.

 

Hasbro still treats its fiction as Optimus and Bumblebee publicity.
The last years have brought us the worst TF fiction yet.
Them putting much thought in a new cartoon isn't happening.
Maybe Cyberverse season three will see me wrong. I hope so, but I doubt it.

And honestly, from what I've seen from Trigger they're very hit or miss. They've done some pretty fun stuff, but they've produced some dumpster fires too.
