Saw this as i watched the movie earlier, and thought I'd point it out... even though I'm sure this has already been found, and if so, I'm sorry for wasting your time, but i just thought it was cool.

I'm still having troubles understanding exactly what you mean. Do you mean she has her helmet on? And I'm pretty sure that's the bottom left on the picture.

 

Please! Keep Shatters alive, in that final explosion, they could say that it was a Shatter shot and not his body.

Also it would be a good reason in BB2, that she is alive so that the decepticons reach the earth and also so that Charlie reappears.

 

This has been common knowledge (common enough to be on the Wiki) since the movie came out in theaters.

 

There's literally hundreds of Decepticons to pull from. Bringing back Shatter, Dropkick, or Blitzwing would just seem like a waste, despite the fact that I liked their characters.

 

“Blitzwing” was barely a character in that movie.

 

But his name was never said so theoretically they can pull a shockwave from the aligned continuity comic where the shockwave that died wasnt him but the clone was almost identical to him

 

Which comic was this?

 

I dont remember the name of it but it involved the dinobots and they were like the main focus and sludge got revived

 

While he didn't have much in terms of personality/character development, I liked the idea of a Decepticon enforcer-like character.

 

And yet he had more lies and personality than almost all the Bay movie 'Cons combined.

Plus he didn't have a stupid, snarling monster voice.

 

Again Megatron?

I said I want the character back, but not as the main villain.For me a good villain would be Astrotrain.Shatter this time could fill the role of one more soldier,but with the idea that she knows who Charlie Watson is (If they plan to include Hailee Steinfeld again)

 

I really dug that route they went with the Cons. Gives them a little more purpose (which is basically being Cybertron's police officers) than randomly following Megatron's orders. I hope they keep the whole Decepticons have taken over Cybertron and the Autobots are the rebels trying to escape. Usually the roles are reversed so I'd be interesting to see how this would play out. Plus, it's so much better to have a simple motive of Decepticons trying to squash the Autobot movement than Decepticons trying to go after 100 thousand different mcguffins to do whatever the hell they were trying to do.

 

I've always loved the idea of the Autobots being underdogs going up against the superior Decepticons. From moments like Huffer stating "we're not fighters like they are, Prime" to basically all of Autobots in Animated, it's nice to see the characters have to pull together and overcome their opponents. Plus, a planet full of Decepticons would be pretty sweet to see on screen.

 

Cybertron was supposedly taken over by the cons in the ‘86 movie, right? That would be cool to see that explored further

 

For one, that's a lazy way to bring someone back. But Shatter was written specifically to be defeated as a minor villain. Effort should be spent developing the next villain rather than bringing a low-ranking officer back inorganically. There's so many better villains out there, and they could even redo Megatron since it's a reboot. Shatter just happens to be better than what we're used to.

Well, it's important to note that this is a rebooted universe in which none of Megatron's actions or motivations have been shown yet. It's not like you can avoid showing the leader of the Decepticons. But what's the point of saying, "You know that fight Shatter had with Bumblebee? It actually didn't crush her. She slipped out at the last second," then have her just be part of the crowd. There are already too many characters to manage.

 

This. Let's not bayify any further TF movies by doing things like reviving characters just for the sake of bringing them back.
