The head is sold separately, but one comes with the kit, too.

I posted this in another thread, but here are my results. Really my first time customizing and painting a figure up. Overall, I'm happy with the results. I may go back and touch up some spots later, but for now, it'll do.

Dear god, I am just finding out about this and I am IN LOVE. I've always loved Pyro, and I've always wanted a slightly more accurate CHUG version of him (even if BotCon Spark is pretty neat looking), and I may just have to take the plunge on one of these. I love it, and I need more pictures!

Have you thought about going with a frosted level of quality with shapeways?

Check his Shapeways shop. The head's available in FUD. The other kits would be prohibitively expensive.

I didn't do the whole kit, but I'm very happy with the head and the rifle. I used frosted ultra detail for the head:

Javaco, do you think there's any chance the replacement roof lights and chest plate could survive in Frosted Ultra Detail? I'd love to see if I could get a translucent hot pink out of them.

Just got my kit. I'm doing the OCC method of tearing down and mocking up the whole figure before I paint it. I'm taking a break breaking it down at the moment because I sliced a chuck of my thumb off and got blood every where. Any way no pain no gain.
I do have a question though. Does anybody have a good way to remove the hinge pins? And what the little rectangle piece with the clamp like ends on it is for?
OK figured it out, just have to wait on paints and some time to apply them. Yay
PS I managed to slice up my other thumb in the process. So there is that to.

I'm saffron working on mine. I need to reorder the feet and guns. I screwed up on the yellow bad.

But I was wondering what's a good pin punch to use to remove the pin?

I bought a set at home depot but the pin won't budge, so i was thinking of an auto punch but not sure which one to get

Painting is finally complete, and tomorrow is assembly day.

Just got to figure out how best to glue the weapons and shoulder mounts on, and he'll be looking pretty sharp!

And here it finally is, several years in the making! Thanks a lot to Javaco for the Kit, 143999 for the light bar instructions and stratonrye for a fantastic colour guide.

The paint is a little spotty in some places, but I'm ultimately happy with how he turned out, especially with the blue rims and hinge joints left over from the Hotspot version of the mold.

Just done one of these on commission and man, I am jealous of who is getting it. I swear it is the best, smoothest painted custom I have ever done. The red paint matches the plastic perfectly

Pictured with my own personal one from a few years ago and now I feel I need to redo 336A2A35-D3B9-47E5-9A55-5B2DBFE5BF41.jpeg

Another fine conversion kit. Very satisfied on how this one turned out. This is yet another project I've had on my to do pile for a few years now.
I may be (very) late to the party, but I'm happy to be here.
    Thank you.

You’re not the only one, I’m currently working on another on commission too. I will get around to redoing mine at some point hopefully

Not gonna lie, I REALLY want to try this out, but painting yellow has always been an absolute nightmare...
