I honestly will never understand the appeal for model car kits as Transformers. If they don't transform, then they're simply model car kits. To pretend otherwise is just weird to me...

I hate these fucking things. They're hard to work with, damage easily, impossible to hide/dispose of the "pegs" without leaving a mark, and even once perfectly assembled they just look like shiny papercraft. They're pointless IMO, unless the novelty of a metal model kit is really that great to you.

Pretty, but no. Utterly worthless in the end. Just a waste of resources, really, IMO.

I built a few of these metal kits of landmarks (Capitol Hill, WH, Paris Eiffel Tower, London Tower, etc.) and I absolutely agree with the terrible building experience, wouldn't continue building these if not to make my wife happy. Zero enjoyment and often frustrating. Totally unllke building plastic model (Gundam, Star Wars, vehicle and military) which for me is fun.

I would not bother with these TF vechicles.

Good grief, I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates these things. They're a righteous pain in the aft to build, and way too easy to screw up. Now, if they were about double the size, it would be a bit better.

I saw this news about the metal vehicles and had a similar thought and then I thought... I wonder if it's just me. I'm going to hop in there and see if there's some hate :)  hahaha I had to buy a spudger kit (because my tweezers were insufficient) and still had glue broken parts back together and eventually just resorted to gluing. After finishing the legs, I decided to put it away before I smashed it with a hammer.

I'm glad someone likes them. Because they are neat. To me it's like the ship in a bottle ;)  I couldn't get the hang of it before I ruined it. And I design, 3d print, and paint tiny figures and weapons so it's not like I don't have steady hands.

I literally had something along the lines of a stroke while assembling one of these. (Not because of it, just  happened at the same time)  bring myself to try again afterwards because my brain associated it with the event.

I have been curious about these, though I'm more into plastic models myself as well. I suppose if my hands weren't so messed up these days, I might have got some of these. I suppose I could get some for my son. He absolutely enjoys working with metal.
