    Shaft puts me in mind as one of those era-specific properties that was cool when it first started, but loses its coolness as time goes on. Sad, because Shaft was what inspired cool black dudes like TF Jazz.

    And who could be cooler than Roundtree and SamL Jackson?

    Yeah, actually I can.

    I re-watched SLJ's Shaft about a month ago -- I hadn't seen it in maybe 10 years or more, but I thought it held up pretty well.
