Well at least we know why they changed the arms, I guess the new ones are shorter. Looks nice but not many of these things bother me now.

Looks pretty promising now. Doubt they'll make a Year of the Horse version but now I'm tempted to at least buy the head.

The arms are shorter but it looks like they didn't add a double jointed elbow (the only thing missing from MP-10 IMO) so I don't really see a point. The matrix and head look cool.

It also would have been nice to have a second outward movement joint inside the shoulder (think Sphinx), but I still think this set looks really nice.

    These look great!

I might even buy the arms too. The proportions look better but I'm not quite convinced they are needed.

I pre-ordered the smoke stacks for my YOTH custom. I notice in the latest pictures that the smoke stacks are on a piece of red plastic. Does anyone know if they can be mounted on the regular mp10 arms without the rest of the upgrades?

    I find this set pointless.

    Positives:
    Light up eyes
    Light up matrix
Additional steps added to the transformation
Gets rid of the gorilla arms
    New, smaller axe

    Negatives:
    The smokestacks seem unnecessary
A robot mode that was pretty much clean, for the most part, is now kibbled and thrown off
A lot of disassembly and reassembly is required to make this work
The cost (I'm sure this won't be cheap)
It really isn't a necessary addition to the figure

I have no desire to own this. I did in the beginning when I saw what they were trying to do, but these final pictures, the kibble on the forearms and the amount of time it's taken them to get this stupid set produced just did it in for me.

    It's a shame.

The new axe is much nicer, I never liked the old wobbly one.

If only the head, matrix and axe were available separately.

If they had the shorter arms without the kibble on the sides, I'd probably get it. I can't believe there was absolutely no other place to put it.

The light up eyes thing is weird. It still looks dark when it's not lit up, so it still doesn't look as good as Hasbro MP10 during 98% of the time you're going to be displaying him.

Don't care for this stuff much. The biceps on my Prime are pushed up eliminating the longer arm look and the arms for this look way too short now compared to the rest of him in my eyes. And people complained about Ironhides arms being too short... Plus, if I wanted to add and then constantly see arm kibble on a Prime I'd display my Classics version on my MP shelf.

Anyway, just an opinion on it, I like my MP10 as is. Although the LEDs are a nice touch.

I just can't get past all that kibble on one of the most beautifully kibble-free MPs we have.

Quality looks nice, especially that axe... and I'm coming round to preferring the proportions of the shorter arms.

Liking the smokestack (M01-C) & light up head / Matrix (M01-A).
Most likely picking up these upgrades.

On the fence for arms / axe / stack (M01-B). Will have to think about that one a bit more.

The arms now ratchet but still aren't double jointed. I guess I'll just be grabbing a matrix/head. Wasted opportunity IMO

Even partsforming would've been a better option.
