By chance, does anyone have a SH Figuarts Ryu and a Figma Captain America they can take a pic of? I'm trying to see how they compare because I've been going for a MvC collection. I'd like to replace the Marvel Legends. I've checked reviews, but the measurements given are not consistent between Reviewers. I see your POV and that does seem likely, but I would prefer to own the original cast. Trini is probably the only one I'd be worried about. It'd be fine if they can't get the originals because I would display them with the helmets on anyways.
Spoiler: Avengers 4 Pray to God they make a Figuarts of this Thanos if you're not satisfied with his lack or armor in IW.
I have a question about this Spidey. In the movie his suit was shiny and metal, but here it's got the same texture as his fabric suit. Is this actually meant to be the IW costume or the one from the end of Homecoming?
I think it's same suit. The Iron Spider suit at the end of Homecoming isn't brightly lit, but it's definitely got a metallic sheen to it. It does have the texture though, it shows up better in the blue sections. As for Bandai's take on it, well... I don't know what to say. Maybe they just didn't want to gloss paint the whole figure? I already had the Homecoming SHF, so I passed on this one.
The only metallic color on the figure is gold. Iw is the only movie he's had the spider legs. Box says iw.
I cancelled my preorder for IW Iron Spider, only because I want to see what Mafex does. If they do nothing, then the plan will be to get the SHF Spidey from the Homecoming sequel. Same thing holds true for me for Dr. Strange and Black Panther; all those guys are getting sequels, so the incentive diminishes for me to get all of the Infinity War versions if we’ll get other versions later. Just don’t have the money to get multiple versions of the same character unfortunately
Was messing with Overlord and ended up posing him in Goku's fighting stance. Now I wanna see Cybertron face "Divine Justice".
Do you guys think bluefin will offer SDCC Green/Red Rangers to other retailers after SDCC? Forgot if they sold SDCC exclusives at comic stores after SDCC ends.
I don't think it's so much that Bluefin offers them to the retailers so much as places like BBTS pay people on staff to get in line and get as many as they can for them to resell. Though... when you can't make it to SDCC yourself there isn't really a better way to get them then to try to find the cheapest reseller. Pick your poison.
so the red and green rangers are SDCC exclusives? thats...unfortunate have we heard anything about the Dragonball exclusive yet? SSB Vegito?
Man, SHF Falcon looks nice. I don't know if I want to order it yet since it's coming out end of Jan next year. I don't want my 180 day thing to run out on Paypal if there's any issues. I hope it's still available in August.
True...it might be a few bucks cheaper than having it shipped from Japan seeing as how the conversion rates tend to fluxuate.
IIRC didn't BBTS offer SDCC Super Saiyan Goku and D Arts metallic Mega Man X for retail after SDCC? I can't remember if they did for sure but I thought they did
Screw it. After calculating shipping from Japan and all, I went ahead and pre-ordered Falcon AND Bucky through TCP Free shipping and all...will make it cheaper than buying them separately from Nippon Yasan anyway.
I preordered Gotenks at BBTS, I'm seeing preorders sold out alot of places... wondering why he seems to have sold out so fast. Anyone seen Super Future Trunks preorders yet?
It might be because I live in California, but lately it's been noticeably cheaper to have SHFs shipped from amiami. The Captain America that just came out was $69 shipped (I had it shipped by itself,) whereas the Bluefin release will be $82 before tax.
The bluefin release is more expensive because it comes with extra accessories. For licensing reasons all Marvel SHFs they distribute need to be above $80 so they'll throw something in like a stand or special colored effect parts.
