Not even. We've seen him before at other events. Between Toy Fair and Wonder Festival this weekend, we've seen a grand total of 0 new SHFs. Unless you want to count the unmorphed heads on MMPR Red and Green.
Got kid Goku this week. Great figure. It got me thinking that the proportions might work for the Krillin head we already have. Sure enough it looks good. The neck joint is different and I didn't want to mess with my Krillin so it's just sitting on there. I am pretty sure I can make it work though. I am thinking about maybe getting a KO Krillin and making one.
FINALLY! The Buu has come BACK! To Bandai. All jokes aside, that's gonna be a HEAVY bit of plastic. Looks good though. Just hope it's not an exclusive.
So, did they just change the neck joints halfway through the line to make everything incompatible and screw with us/ force us to buy each regular and ss version of a character again?
Yes. I know Awakening, SS3 and SSG goku have different next joints. The two newest Vegeta's can head swap though.
If the changeover was for durability's sake, then it was worth it. Had to buy a second SSJ Goku because I snapped his head off without even trying. Stupid half-peg articulation design.
Not a fan of those half pegs. Thank goodness on figures like SF Ryu, the pegs are big enough to not feel fragile when swapping hands.
Wait, that's done by design?! I was looking at my Yamcha Figuarts and noticed that and figured I just bought a bad one. I had totally planned on doing a head swap but decided it was too risky.
My Kid Goku arrived, his dome is huge but he is a awesome figure. I have Yamcha on hold a Barns and Noble to pick up today.
Don't normally collect Power Rangers, but have a soft spot for the White Ranger. Went by my local Vintage Stock and found one (figuarts one) there out of the package and complete. Got that along with Icons Green Lantern. (John Stewart) Good day so far for collecting. Now i see the big deal for these.
Hey guys and gals. So I'm guessing that the tight marketing security around Infinity War is the reason we don't have any preorders or views on new marvel SHF stuff? Are we thinking a full wave of preorders might hit simultaneously like we saw with The Avengers? Feels odd that the marvel scene has gone so quiet. I'd be more confident in that speculation if SH hadn't just missed the huge opportunity that was Black Panther. I appreciate he's not so popular in Japan, but surely it wouldn't have been difficult to mass-market or even rerun the Web Exclusive BP again? (Notwithstanding the relatively little resculpt that would have been required for his new suit / golden jaguar).
All the Marvel announcements have typically been very close to the relevant movie itself releasing, and always releasing quite some time after. I'm pretty sure Ragnarok Thor and Hulk, for example, weren't revealed at all until literally right as the movie came out. So I'm not surprised we haven't heard anything yet. I'm sure something will come in a couple months. And that it'll just be another Iron Man and Cap and nothing else because reasons.
