Those could have easily been included in the initial Stormtrooper release. Feels like a huge money grab, imo. I'll still buy it but still, that's pretty weak on Bandai's part. Looks like they dropped the blaster from the other release as well. That's sad that even the Hasbro release of the Riot Shield trooper has more accessories than the Figuarts one.
I feel like a weapons pack for 1/4th the cost would have been preferrable Or jack up the price but give us a shitload of weapons Or jack up the price and give us like three sets of weapons to outfit three figures
I'm kinda all for this separate release..... "why" you might ask? Well, if you weren't lucky enough to grab the first FO trooper preorders, this would be another shot at it. Also, its good if you're looking to troop build without having to deal with eBay prices. I ordered from AmiAmi, who capped these at 3 per household, so if I was looking to troop build, this is a good thing. They could do a weapons set, but you'd be left with so weapons not being used. I'm not saying they shouldn't do a weapons pack, but if I had to choose, I'd choose a rerelease with extras.
Yeah, I'm not really upset by this. It gives me an excuse to troop build and makes it a little easier.
Very interesting and tempting...I missed the regular trooper but I just might have to pass on this too. The Bandai kit comes with everything and it was better for the OT Troopers so I just might stick with those for the FO Troopers.
Preordered two of the SHF Riot Control FO Stormtroopers. SHF Captain Phasma needs some mooks to command, after all.
Preorders are open again at HLJ for Battle Droid and Clone Trooper! Got them for $32 a piece, both figures cost less than just buying one at BBTS
I'm not a fan of Kamen Rider Ghost as a show... but after seeing the new official images of his Figuarts release, I'm seriously thinking about buying him up. Then again I still haven't bought Gaim, which makes me realize how behind I've gotten on Figuarts stuff.
Yeah, all American retailers have them at $50-$60. I just ordered them both even though I don't particularly want them, but I figure I've got the rest of the line except for those two so I might as well have the complete set.
I have a feeling the freed up stock of these two figures came at the expense of those who preordered two or more of each since they were certainly not limited to 1 per customer when I put in my preorders for them months back (I had PO'd two of the Clone Troopers and three of the Battle Droids). I hate it when HLJ pulls stuff like this after the fact. Makes troop building such a hassle when buying from them. I checked my open orders at HLJ and my original number of preorders still stand for the time being but I expect the multiples to disappear and reduced to only one each with an accompanying apologetic e-mail any day now.
