I don't know. Just seems way too much to pay for these things. Awesome? Yes. Worth almost $90? Nope.

Honestly, a ton of folks are blinded by BBTS loyalty and don't even seek out other websites. They justify it because of "great service" (that every other store I've shopped at online provides) and "saving money with POL!" (when nearly every store provides free shipping now over a certain dollar amount).

HLJ and amiami and whatever costs less shipped than BBTS before shipping. The pile of loot argument makes zero sense.

I myself buy SHF at BBTS for convenience, I've only ordered 3 figuarts ever, the two Sakura's and SS Decade. And set them to ship with other stuff I was already buying from them.

Maybe for others who buy them more often or certain licenses I will say it might not be the best choice.

I've switched MP purchases and most Japanese imports to overseas shops IF I know they're items I want. BBTS is my backup if I can't get an order in at HLJ since I have no commitment. I go with BBTS for many action figures and 1/6th scale items though. Because of the variability in 3P release schedules, I also go with them on earlybird priced items due to the ability to cancel or ship with whatever else I've got going at the time they hit.

Wow. I'm getting two from AmiAmi that will probably be ~$100 shipped. Shoulda got three. Wouldn't have increased shipping that much, and I could have sold one for $80.

Well, to be fair, I still use BBTS for Neca, Mezco, DCC and Figuarts that Bluefin can import as those prices are reasonable and I don't have a good LCS that gets stuff in regularly. Not to mention my TRU's Neca aisle sucks now. I do like the fact that BBTS has no hassle preordering which allows me to just up and cancel if I find it cheaper on eBay the month it comes out. Which has been happening a whole lot lately as I can a) usually find items for cheaper listed on eBay and b) BBTS seems to not get stuff in as soon as some of these eBay sellers anymore.

That said; for most import stuff I order from AmiAmi and HLJ or a Japanese eBay seller if I miss preorders from one of those two.

And let me just say for some of you who might get upset by saying BBTS isn't the first and the best (I've seen it happen on TFW before): I'm not bad mouthing them at all. I'm simply saying that they've become more and more overpriced and with the economy being what it is I'm going to go where I can get the most for my buck. No problems on my end and they're still selling out so none on them.

First time I'm taking a minute to look closely at that Phasma Figuarts and man, I gotta say, it's damn nice. I could see myself getting a few of the regular First Order Stormtroopers along with Phasma and get a very nice display out of them :)

I've been a BBTS buyer since 2001. I just simply have never experience good customer service from anyone else. Not to mention the other sites I have tried have pretty much jacked me off when it came to shipping.

One site I bought from said it would ship in 24 hours, and it was something I needed immediately, so I paid $19 for 1 day shipping. A week went by and the item hadn't shipped out yet and when I emailed them, they said it was because the item wasn't instock. How the hell are you going to say it ships in 24 hours, accept a 1 day shipping charge, but not actually ship the item out? That defies the point of even bothering. This was Toy Island or something with Toy in it.

Image Anime has had poor customer service. There was another site I bought from that had no communication skills whatsoever. At least with BBTS I know what to expect and get what I expect. Plus, the products I buy are US released ones that have no markup.

In the last few days I repurchased a few SHFs that I had recently traded/sold.
I traded my Darth Maul away because at that time, I was able to buy him again from HLJ and AmiAmi, but when I went to go purchase him right after I traded him, he was already sold out. So I ended up getting him through eBay for roughly the same price. Then I noticed the other day that AmiAmi put him back up for sale.... smh. I could've added that to my monthly order, but knowing figma, the Silent Hill nurses would probably be pushed back anyways.
Then theres Iron Man mk 43 and 45, which I ended up repurchasing in a lot with Iron Patriot. I have no interest in IP, so if anyone does, let me know. I swear, I told myself I was done with them, but now I'm back. Theres a reason why I went back and got them, but you'll see why some other day.

To be fair, BBTS sells a bunch of stuff aside from Transformers and Bandai products. A whole lot of different things. They have a good balance of customer service, product variety, ease of Web site use (and easy cancellations), and a 6-month long PoL system that's very convenient for folks who plan out their collections for the long term (as I do since my PoL's these days go upward to $3K to $4K at a time which gives me flexibility to arrange my display shelves as I see fit).

Yes, their prices may not be the best (and can be downright absurdly high at times; still, decent prices for things like whole case assortments and the odd clearance sale balances that out a bit) but nothing's stopping anyone from shopping around for the best price. I'm giving HLJ a good chunk of my business recently for Japanese products, for example, while dipping my toes here and there with Amazon.co.jp, Ami Ami, Anime Export, Nippon Yassan, etc. for stuff that I missed out on.

Back on topic, HLJ has SHF AOU Thor and Iron Man Mk 45 still in (low) stock:

S.H.Figuarts The Avengers: Age of Ultron Ironman Mark 45 by Bandai | HobbyLink Japan

S.H.Figuarts The Avengers: Age of Ultron Thor by Bandai | HobbyLink Japan

SHF Ranma too for those looking for her:

S.H.Figuarts Ranma Saotome by Bandai | HobbyLink Japan

Considering I pay around $5 per figure to ship through HLJ on a regular basis, I have no problem paying their flat rate plus a dollar or so for every item I had to my POL. The main reason I buy from BBTS is they're so damn flexible with the pre order system. Their cancellations are hassle free (only drawback is if you've already paid they give store credit), and they give you 9 days to correct your payment method if something is wrong with it. Compare that to say, Toysource or Amiami, where both places bitch you out for cancelling for any reason whatsoever. Toysource even reserves the right to press charges for people that cancel multiple times, which is ******ed. In my book, BBTS is second only to HLJ, which has their own set of drawbacks but the overall service I've gotten from them has been great.

S.H.Figuarts ROTJ Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader on Bandai's Death Star throne room stage.

Really hope Bandai makes more of these stage pieces as they look great. Maybe part of Jabba's sail barge (with the deck gun cannon maybe - "Point it at the deck!") or palace or something.

I've got a nice set up going on with mine like that too. Both of these figures are great. My only complaint is that Vader is the same height as Luke when he should be taller, but pulling the hips down (most SHF can do this) fixes that problem and on Vader you don't notice the gap it creates because of his design.

Yup, that's how I display Vader outside of action poses, but with a battle stance and placing Luke one step down on the stage, the height issue isn't really that noticeable to me, honestly. Really am impressed with both figures. Been experimenting with some effects parts to try to simulate the lightsaber-on-lightsaber flash when they hit each other but nothing's working so far, sadly.

The SHF Stormtroopers are neat too. Have two of them flanking my Revoltech Boba Fett. Really hope they see a reissue just like Luke and Vader are getting. Would love to pick up two more.

I hear the SHF Lightning effects parts make great force lightning. Mine haven't arrived yet, but I've got two sets coming from HLJ. One set for my Figma Thor and one set for Vader (I don't know if he's ever used Force Lightning, but there should be no reason he couldn't).

I shipped my Luke and Maul out yesterday, and I'm finally ordering Kinnikuman and four of the ring stands to go with my Warsman tomorrow. Good week for SHF figures!

Oh yeah, I'm totally using the lightning effects (blue) on TBS 6" Emperor Palpatine for the force lightning. :D  Have the effects (both blue and yellow) sitting in my Private Warehouse on HLJ.
