I just now noticed those big black leg-joints jutting conspicuously out the back. They're FUGLY! WTF, Bandai?!
Yeah, if you plan to buy several figures a year through B&N the membership is a great idea. They have a fantastic selection.
The ball things on the back of the legs are distracting. It won't stop me from getting them though. They totally could have picked a better face for Shampoo. I hope the apron comes off.. I'm still excited. I hope Shampoo comes with her cat form. Or they could troll us and have it come with male Ranma. Have P-chan come with Akane. Have Mousse's goose form come with Shampoo. Happosai could come with Soun Tendo.
S.H.Figuarts Bruce Lee Special page | TAMASHII WEB - Looks to be a much more accurate alternative to Figma Bruce Lee.
Captain America's gallery S.H.??????? ?????????? ???? : ????? Was the suit's blue this dark in the movie? The figure's color looks too dark, especially compared to Avengers 1 Captain.
Wow, the Ranma 1/2 stuff looks gorgeous. I want redhead Ranma pretty badly. Also please let there be a Figuarts Ant-Man in the works, that suit design just screams a high articulation release. The style is in keep with a lot of Bandai's Rider stuff.
Cap looks pretty good. Thanks for the link! Toyark has a few more shots of the AOU setup from the festival.
No, it's pretty much dead. The line was super unpopular in Japan, from what I've read, with the last two figures (Harley and Superman) going from regular release to web exclusive. Unlike DBZ and Sailor Moon, I don't think it did well enough overseas either for the US market to prop it up. Kind of a shame, I was excited to see who they would do after Superman and if they would move on to bigger figures.
I'm quite sure it was. A quick google search of the suit and it looks pretty close to me. I actually like the AOU one better than the Avengers 1 Cap figure from Figma. I feel like the colours of the Figma are more vibrant than I remember.
So after seeing the Ranma 1/2 Figuarts...is anyone else a bit disappointed they're based off the manga art style and not say the OVA/Movie style? One of the reasons I jumped on the Sailor Moon Figuarts is because they were based off the anime designs, which for me, was better than the manga style. I dunno...In some cases I just prefer the designs of a series' anime over the manga even if that's the ORIGINAL look for something.
