I just spent WAY too much (but still well below completed sales) on the DBS version of Trunks so that I could have a "definitive" Trunks. I swear to God, if they turn around and immediately announce another Trunks I will absolutely lose it. Also, WHO LIKES TRUNKS THIS MUCH!? Our only Adult Gohan is so dated that he calls cars "motor carriages" and thinks wistfully of the telegraph. Homie played a huge part in the ToP and played a solid role when Moro showed up and the best version of the figure is still a straight ko with improved joints?
Yep, a new (Mystic) Gohan is probably my number 2 DBZ want right now... Right after a new Perfect Cell.
I wouldn't object to a new Cell, though personally i'm still extremely pleased with the Premium Color one, which I picked up a little while back.
On more positive news, if anyone doesn't like to go the KO route, this store still sells SDCC Mystic Gohan and Adventure Begins Kid Goku for 75 and 70 dollars, respectively. I ordered from em and while they process orders crazy slow (their CS was pretty "meh" even when I lived in VA), they shipped legit copies. I wanna say shipping was 9 bucks for the pair. I did such a good job not getting Dodoria, since I don't have a Kid Gohan and what fellow collectors want for him is a bad joke, and then somebody in a FB group was, like, "don't be the guy asking for this one at retail in a few months". FOMO took over and now, even though I said I would find a cheap Gohan and some Demonical F Soldiers before I would ever buy a C-Lister like Dodoria, I have a Dodoria coming my way. SMH.
Meh, just forgot. Oh well. Don't have much more space left for DB SHFs as it is... And he's a biiiig one.
Trunks is the 3rd most made figure in the dragon ball line. they did time patroller trunks there was no way they weren’t gonna go back and update OG future trunks. It’s been a good while since DBS trunks came out so they didn’t do this just to spite you like they did everyone when the announced Vegeta 2.0 after we all bought and received PC super Vegeta.
On a hilarious note, y'all seeing the "hookups" on FB for Gogeta and Broly now that POs have been opened up in Europe? This must be like what car shopping was prior to the internet. So much predatory selling that takes advantage of the uninformed.
I guess the bald head in the silhouette probably doesn't' mean anything but seems like a place for Nail to me.
Can definitely see what you mean, and while i'd love a Nail, the Dragon Ball Official Site's article that I linked to earlier seems to have immediately shot that down.
I'd say keep your eyes peeled either way, we've still got a couple Namek saga slots out in the open so far, I wouldn't doubt Nail possibly being one of them. And hey, maybe we'll see whoever they'll be at Tamashii Nation 2021 as well! Considering last year's prototype dump, it certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility.
Not for nothing, but Nail is an easy re-use of Piccolo's mold since canonically he and Nail strongly resemble each other(Dende mistakes Piccolo for Nail at first because of this). The only change needed besides the color of plastic for the pants is a bare torso mold with the mantle thing Nail wears. Everything else is the same.
