"The order is concentrated. Please wait a while and press the button again. After pressing the button, do not reload, please wait." Fun... Gonna try tomorrow, already have the stuff in my cart so that's half of the insufferable journey done with.
I only wanted #18... didn't know you needed an account. Account verification email never showed up so there goes that aha
So I showed up late to the party and Android 18 was in stock (I think she's fluctuating as it sold out and then was back in stock). I went through payment and am sitting on a page that says this: Sorry.. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please wait. However, I decide to open a new tab and check my order history. According to it, I got Android 18 but I ain't holding my breath.
They fluctuate back and forth between in stock and out of stock and theyve recognized it. Also I'm still allowed to checkout despite them being sold out only issue at the momment is actually getting to the check out page.
Same here. Checked out with Goku and 18. We'll see if the order sticks. Hope I can track down 17 later.
After being stuck with that screen for 2 hours I realized that even when I tried to check my account or order history it would just take me to a the home screen even though you guys say you can see it. I tried new tabs, different browsers, my phone, etc. I just signed out and signed back in then was able to get the figure stands no problem. What the hell!?! I had these things in my cart for 2 hours and couldn't move past the cart screen. I'm guessing they were working on fixing the site and maybe being signed in had locked me into an endless loop? Signing out seemed to fix it but everything is gone now.
Great...place two orders but only receive a confirmation e-mail for one. Edit: Wait, there it is. They send a "this might be a duplicate order" e-mail before the "you ordered this" e-mail.
Whew, finally got my confirmation from P-Bandai. Now I can actually relax. You should've seen it before when it said 24. Glad that got changed...
Honestly, if they just want to sell these to online stories then negotiate that and sell to them directly or make it 1 per/account address and cancel excess orders. All those sites have their employees online when these things going up orders as much as is allowed. I would love to know how many units end up in the hands of resellers. It's only thing when its at a physical convention because there is a cost to get to those events and reasonably it's a service to pay a little extra to get it. When it's completely online just design it to give individuals the best chance.
The problem with statements like this is that it's rarely actually broken. They just can't handle the load and are probably wildly killing threads/processes in the background to get it under control. I've seen that way too many times. Their test is "can two people inside the network vote at the same time" and then they open polls to 12 million people over the internet.
Which can actually break the site for people even as it "manages" traffic. Having people apply for a ticket to purchase and then emailing them they have 24-hours to buy would solve this and make it something reasonable. Everyone would have a shot and if people don't buy it they just keep moving on until the stock is gone.
A car that won't start is broken. A car that won't pull a house is overloaded. Sure the end result is the same but the cause is different. Edit: Just being pedantic here. I agree some sort of ticketing system that staggered payments would've helped since multiple parts seemed to be overloaded.
