Are people (in the US) seriously upset by a $6 markup? It's not great, but it's balanced out by every other exclusive having zero markup. (And if we go by the new deluxe price of $23, it's only a $3 markup.)
It’s a $7 up charge for a $4 comic. That’s terrible, but $10 would be insane. (Not that paying $30 for the 4th? 5th?? release of a partsformer that was a rip off at $20 isn’t insane too)
"FINE" is perfectly fine for SG, though. The line is just about doing mirror universe palette swaps with maybe a scar or a mustache on your favorite characters, not really a total reinvention. Because they can't, and it wouldn't have been accurate to SG Goldbug anyway. Just the people who are worried about having to buy everything (or at least the ones that seem to believe that they have to).
What would an ideal Goldfirebug Bumblebee look like? Navy blue head with white face and gold body Or Yellow everything with blue arms
I find it fascinating they have a custom head. Is a G1 Goldberg eventually coming because that would be the VW beatle body.
No I meant Marvel gave Goldbug a yellow head, blue shoulders and blue thighs. The toy had a blue head, yellow arms and yellow legs.
That's my point. Neither G1 Bee or G1 Cliffjumper share an alt mode with the original SG version, so that doesn't seem to be a reason why they would favor one choice over the other.
It's not even really a markup considering it's got a pack in comic as well, those aren't getting included for free this time around (unlike T30 and combiner wars) Which one looks more like a sports car?
Retail price for a deluxe is $22.99 now. My recollection is that Voyagers are $31.99 and Leaders are $51.99. MSRP on all size classes went up for 2021 although some retailers are selling below MSRP.
Yeah, assuming we get a G1 Goldbug, I’ll probably paint head to Marvelfy him. Though he was pretty much yellow in the comics..
Maybe not the original one, but this new one was clearly intentionally designed to have the trunk section be a removable shield. The fact that we are over a year past the release of this mold and people are still complaining about it is kind of sad.
Its lazy because they have the netflix bee mold and they didnt use it. The fig and point i was referencing was the excellion mold that they didn't have a vw bug mold then. Maybe you should read a post before you start trolling people bud.
I mean, between the general price increase, the comic, the foil cover of said comic, the new heads that can't have been part of the same tooling, and the limited availability, it does even out. I know "please understand the budget" is a bit of a meme but it is kinda true in this case. But in your defense, ER Cliff is definitely not a figure everyone's gonna like, and that's ok. I'm willing to accept that "size class" is more so "price point" now, but if that's still a hang up for you then, y'know, fair. But saying it's a "rip off" isn't true for everyone.
