Just finished reading the second issue of SERENITY, and although it feels like filler to explain why the movie is happening as it's happening (ie, the movie came first, and this comic came well after that script was done), I'm enjoying it. All the right character development, and a very nice splash just before the last page (especially seeing as how some of the artwork suffered earlier on).

Having seen the movie, there's more to be said, but of course, I won't. :)

EDIT: Also, the guy with the bionic eye? That's the Fed from the pilot episode, right?

Apparently Serenity #1 was Dark Horse's most popular comic last month, so I'm glad I'm not the only one enjoying the comic!

I watched Firefly from the up to episode 9 between reading 1 and 2, and it's great to be able to hear the right voices while you read the dialogue, now I have to figure out where my copy of 1 has gone!

Roll on #3. (and Serenity the movie of course)
