Today marks 30 Years of the G1 Cartoon!
The Flintstones Happy Anniversary - YouTube
So awesome for so many reasons
Aye well beloved and well cherished for me.
Holy shit! Did not realise that! G1 is now 30 years old!
Whoa, I know what I was doing 30 years ago on this day.
The best action show from the 80's because it actually aged well!
I would have likely been in school. (5th grade)
I thought the original 3-parter was first shown in May 1984 and then repeated (as part of the whole season one) from 17th Sept?
Sorry to rain on the birthday congrats.
Regardless, we choose to follow the date of the full first season.
I dunno what I did. I was 3 years old. Probably babying around.
Hard to believe it's been that long. I didn't start watching until the 1986 movie but I still recall being introduced to the episodes on VHS.
Whatever a kindergartner does, I was probably doing.
I had just started 3rd grade back then. My son has just started 1rst grade and still loves this cartoon.
Happy 30 years of the G1 cartoon.
I was born in 87, but received broadcasts of season 2 as a boy. Great times.
Nice to know I didn't exist.
When my son 5 years old (17 now), his 4 year old sister convinced him that he didn't exist. I asked him, "If I was to pop you right now, wouldn't it hurt? Well you must be here then." Man he was in tears and I had to "scold" her to show him she was wrong. I gave her a high five after he left the room though.
I still go by the comic (which had been on shelves for a few months already at this point).
If so, the TFWiki is wrong. (Not that this is impossible, and I do feel that the 3-parter did indeed air separately from the rest - but note that the TFWiki's date for episode #4 is a few weeks later. Also, Season 1 was aired weekly, for the most part, but the 3-parter did air on consecutive days).
