I’ll have to backpedal my previous reply, I just looked at Getter 2 again, warmed up to the design, and found one for $30 shipped so I will at least have 2/3 of the trio.
Does anyone have info about Sentinel ever producing or co producing S.A.F.S stuff ? A friend Douglas Saint posted a pic of an old Fireball piece that he said was a one off. Seeing if anyone has any info on it and why it never happened.
Got the chance to fiddle with Ryuuoumaru today (not mine). Just like I thought, it's a nice figure, with a really nice finish, better articulations than the Robot Damashii but still not worth the ridiculous asked price IMO, especially since it's probably a one-off and the fact it's Ryuuoumaru and not Ryuujinmaru (which makes the Wataru they're releasing not fitting with it), which would have been the most obvious choice. New Wataru products getting made is always nice but I wish Bandai would have kept the RD line alive rather than having all these new lines making the same Mashins over and over again.
So in the Flame Toys tarn thread people mentioned that the joints quickly became loose after playing with the figure. So, I'm aware that is a very broad question and it might not have an easy ansiwer, but is it a know problem for Sentinel figures or it's likely only a case of a faulty figure? I'm trying to understand if they are solid like MP, Metal Builds or Socs or the less you touch them, the better.
To put it simply in my experience as a Sentinel completist their products are either shitty from the start or stay decent. I haven't had any problems with detoriation. My Drift has been on display for a year and it's just as solid still as Tarn which came early November.
Thanks Kuma! The fact that your Drift is still solid is indeed reassuring. From your experience, how often did you get a shitty figure? Is it better to order from a seller with a good return policy?
- When I say shitty figure I mean one that's just general poorly designed and not q.c. issues. Here are the links to the reviews for Tarn and Drift. Read over them and I still stand over both breakdowns and ratings to this day: Toy Review: Flame Toys Transformers 01 Drift (Kuro Kara Kuri) - Kuma Style Toy Review: Flame Toys Kuro Kara Kuri 02 Tarn - Kuma Style - I'm not being cute or funny when I write this, I think that any purchase you make period is best purchased from a retailer who stands behind and backs their products because you just never never know so of course these fall in because everything. However there are always variables like finding a killer deal on a piece from a second-hand seller. I don't want to drive the thread "off topic" with getting too far into talk about Transformers toys from Sentinel's child? company so by all means if you have any further questions shoot me a PM or tag me in the appropriate thread(s) and I'll happily answer what I can as best that I can. I'm really glad that you're looking into them because they're fantastic pieces.

NP and nothing to apologize apologize for at all --------------------- Re: Ryuumaru - I'm of two minds with that review... part of me wants to check it out but with it coming tomorrow part of me wants it to be a totally fresh experience.
That's a great price. Good thing he wasn't your priority, because don't be too let-down by the toy based on how solid Getter 1 is. 2 is pretty fragile and skeletal by comparison.
He's sturdiest in full robot mode, with the dino arms tucked in, but he loses a bit of poseability that way. Without the dino arms tucked inside, the dino head arm and drill arm are pretty hollow and eggshell-feeling. In dino mode, there's that, plus the dino torso doesn't really clip together at all. It's just all the parts floating around in a rough arrangement, with only the tight ess of the joints keeping it together.
