Google translate: The core "Gran Kaiser" will be updated for "Ultimate Gravion" and will be a set product with the completely new modeling "Ultimate Gravion" exclusive Goddess parts. Final God so an improved Gran Kaiser?
Ultimate gravion is supposed to be a combination of Sigma and Sol Gravion, so in theory the armour would just turn into the same vehicle components as those two. Given that they've ditched the combination gimmick though, the armour might not even transform into anything.
Ah hell yeah an updated Gran kaiser and from the looks of it those damn shoulders can raise above his head. Holy cow though 50,000 yen.....but then again who else is making a high-quality Ultimate Gravion?
In the anime, the vehicles literally melded together, it was pure anime magic. It's practically impossible to engineer a full-transforming Ultimate Gravion, without compromising on the looks. 50k yen is stiff..... Very stiff. Some sites sold Sigma Gravion, for a massive discount, after launch and Sol gravion, is still available in where i lived. Shall wait for release, and decide thereafter.
It could have been possible, but Sentinel would probably have to throw in a lot of add-on parts to make either mode look good. Getting both to combined properly would have been more fun than just an armor set. Studio halfeye was able to do it, but their end result looks okay at best.
That back shot is the most damning of all. Look at all those hinge joints for unfolding panels, tabs/slots for connecting pieces together on the arms and legs, the swing arms with balljoints on the back of the shoulders, the mis-aligned backpack panels that are split in half and the obvious joints at their sides near the back itself, etc. Either this thing transforms or they went to a truly staggering amount of effort to make it look like it does for no reason.
I really wish Sentinel figures weren't so small. That King J-Der looks incredible, but I know it's going to be obscenely expensive for a figure that's what, 12 inches tall?
That's exactly how I feel with Daikyojin, a character I'd love to have in my collection, but I have reservations about paying that much for a 15cm figure (even if the included horse sweetens the deal).
Very curious indeed, it does look transformable, but the head does not seem to have the ability to convert into j-bird, or perhaps, they are forgoing j-bird altogether. Those pegs could also be used for effect parts. After all, King Jder is big on the phoenix motif.
