If the whole "ONLY A PRIME CAN KILL THE FALLEN" subplot was abandoned and he had no use of his telekinetic/teleportation powers.... If he had no use of his cosmic rust weapon and had no T-Cog located within his body... Who would win?

Sentinel has more mass and a badass double-blade sword. Case closed!

Sentinel Prime is is a way better warrior. The Fallen is old and relies on his magic and telekenetic abilities. Tke those away and Sentinel would destroy him.

This is quite literally the only logical answer.

    The Fallen.

Sentinel has no known powers, as The Fallen controls telekinesis and teleporting. Combine that with his spear, and he wins.

    Um...

Outside of the spear, all The Fallen ever used was his not-Jedi-Force powers in the movie, and the spear is countered with Sentinel's considerably much more dangerous double-blade sword and shield. Additionally, Sentinel only ever used the rust function of his gun (pretty sure it shot lasers at Prime and the NEST base) seemingly once and only transformed a small number of times, none of those times being in the middle of combat, so his "handicaps" are far less significant than those imposed on The Fallen. (Essentially, you're just making it so Sentinel couldn't use a way to get at his enemy faster, while The Fallen has his hands tied behind his back)

Or, the short version: The Fallen sucks at physical, hand-to-hand combat. Sentinel excels in hand-to-hand combat. Force the two into a death battle with only physical attacks allowed, it's pretty obvious who will win.

Sentinel has a lot of equipment that would devastate The Fallen. He has a super powerful sword, a super sturdy shield, and his infamous rust cannon. The Fallen really wasn't a good warrior to begin with. Sentinel would definitely win.

On paper? I'd say The Fallen. Based on what we witnessed for each character in their respective movies? Sentinel, no contest. To quote someone from a while back, "The Fallen was all fart and no poo". Not very impressive based on what we see in RotF. The concept of The Fallen is where any awesomeness comes from. Let's see what the official guide says about The Fallen.

He's 42 feet tall and weighs 9 tons, that's basically 10 feet taller and twice the weight of Optimus (and therefore, Sentinel by association, more or less).

"Within his cage-like exo-structure burned primal and chaotic forces drawn from the very birth of the universe..."

"...can open and close spacebridges at will, drawing on their almost unlimited power..." (meanwhile Sentinel had to construct devices in order to harness that long-lost power)

"The Fallen channels and wields unquantifiable energies, and, by generating focused bursts, possesses the awesome power to unmake creation at will"

"Though warped and twisted, The Fallen has the staggering power, strength and resolve of a trueborn Prime at his disposal. Only now this awesome might is augmented by chaotic energies plundered when the universe was just forming. No physical form was ever meant to contain such forces, and to maintain his corporeal existence, The Fallen myst regularly vent energy. It is these natural outpourings that The Fallen turns into blasts of raging, destructive forces."

Sentinel is awesome and all, but it'd be no contest if we focus on not the movies. Sentinel is essentially Teddy Roosevelt while The Fallen is Lucifer himself. Or for a different example, Sentinel is the Dr. Doom to The Fallen's Galactus.

    In short,

Movies: Sentinel wrecks The Fallen's s**t before The Fallen can utter "Revenge...is...mi-"

Expanded Media Information: The Fallen waves his hand and Sentinel Prime's very being is wiped from existence in milliseconds.

Why would it matter if the "Only a Prime can kill him" thing was taken out? If it's kept in, it would still work, but Sentinel would annihilate Megatronus.

    QFT.

The Movieverse portrays the Fallen in a way that's far too under-powered. Sentinel could kick major skidplate, sure, but I think if we got a Fallen more akin to his Dreamwave incarnation he'd be more than a match for Leonard Nimoy Prime.

    Sentinel Prime.

Only a Prime can defeat The Fallen....Sentinel Prime pretty much can destroy him in less than twenty seconds.

From what we saw of both characters in the films I'd say that without his magical like powers that the Fallen would be pretty easily defeated by Sentinel. Sentinel just seemed like an all around better warrior while the Fallen seemed pretty dependent on special abilities.

The Fallen also seemed more like the type to send others out to fight while Sentinel didn't seem to mind being right in the thick of a fight.
