What was the first clue, OP?
Er go the epic plot twist. He was made out to be a good guy, and Shockwave was made out to be the bad guy. It was vice versa. It's called Story, and unexpected plot turns. It's a good thing.
How exactly was Shockwave the good guy? True, it was his arm that took down the control pillar, but he was kinda dead while that happened.
Well, it applies for Sentinel... didn't really think about that part with Shockwave.
Vice Versa was a bad figure of speech.
Aww, I was planning on making a Shockwave Appreciation thread, and calling him the real hero of DOTM using that quote. [/sarcasm]
the only thing i want to say is what type of sword is he using i want to find one like that
It's a beastly thing, isn't it? It goes from having a single blade (when he's revived by the Matrix, trashing the NEST base, and kicking Optimus' ass in DC), to being the double-bladed thing his toys have (when he jumps off the roof to fight Optimus in Chicago, he does something and it transforms into the double-bladed version).
I like sentinel prime, he kick everyone ass
I like the part where the autobots try to take him down but he just snap them all, I freaking love that sword he was using.
He's supposed to be a fallen hero. Corrupted with no morals, no sense of freedom for the innocent.
Well yeah, his betrayal is a plot twist, a surprise.
I thought he was brilliant and could understand his motive, unlike Megatron who just wants to taken over the universe. SP actually had depth and a reason why he turned "evil". I think he probably had the most character development out of everyone in DOTM. Awesome hero/villian IMO.
It all started so good. The first leaked pictures from the set which showed the firetruck alt mode. Then the news that this character would be Sentinel Prime. Then the first trailer which showed Sentinel being found on the moon. All the CG images. And then you watch the movie and bam, he fucking shoots Ironhide in the face!
Yuck. Why did this have to be an Autobot.
At first I liked him, but then that liking turned to hatred.
Why do you think?
I have always liked the idea of a 'Bot or "Con defecting. I thought Sentinel Prime's character was one of the best in the movie. He had a motive, and a reason for defecting. He thought he was still doing what's right. I thought this was well done, and I was surprised at his killing Ironhide. SP was a well written and acted character....
I did think Optimus would not have murdered him like that when he was down, Optimus has always been known for giving mercy to those who ask. (It's his fatal flaw)
I want to know why he didnt take the matrix from optimistic when it was offered. Especially knowing he was in cahoots with megatron
I liked him. He was way more interesting than Shockwave or Megatron, although it would've been nice to make Shockwave appear to be the actual villain during the first half (giving the indication that he'd taken over the Decepticons). It would've made the twist even better. Prior to that, it was hard to take a weakened Megatron and a seldom used Shockwave seriously.
Optimistic?! HAHAHA!!! Brilliant!
well it's pretty much official
DOTM Sentinel Prime makes Animated Sentinel Prime look like a saint! lol
I'm guessing that was autocorrect. My droid was doing that before I noticed it and let it know that OPTIMUS is a word. lol
Element of surprise much? At that point he's with Optimus alone. He needed to do it at a time when they least expected it, and before others could be warned so that he can do the most damage and still get his pillars (remember, he needed the main one still)
i had leader sentinel on my autobot shelf and after i saw the movie i moved him to the decepticon shelf hahaha
Separate names with a comma.
