Didn't see this anywhere so if it was answered my appoligize.my friend asked me a good question and I have no answer. Why didn't sentinal take the matrix from prime when he tried to give it to him. Wouldn't he want that ppower to help with his and megatrons plan?
A combination of the following: (1) Sentinel probably felt guilty over his plan to defect all those years ago, (2) Rejecting the Matrix would've also been perceived as an act of humility so that Prime wouldn't be the wiser.
I'd posted this before, but here it is again: Three probable theories as to why Sentinel didn't accept the Matrix from Optimus.
hard to say , we dont know much about the matrix in the films . The Matrix may have rejected him due to his plans of enslaving earth
Is there any purpose to holding the matrix in the bayverse other than as a symbolic artifact and the key to the sun eater? And since the star chomper was destroyed... I don't think the Matrix makes its bearer more powerful like in the G1 universe, and I think the ressurection of Prime was a one-time deal, and not something the Matrix could do on a regular basis. So if this is the case, there'd be no real reason for Sentinel to accept the matrix, as leading the Autobots would likely get in the way of his plan.
Couldnt they just use the matrix to fix Cybertron then, since it's what brought life to it in the first place?
