    Hi everyone.

    I’m Semisilentbob Lime.

    Jay’s the name.

I love doing custom transformers and have a LOT to my name (not to mention custom Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc figures).

I’m going to be digging them out and posting my newest ones here and (when I find them) my golden oldies.

For labels, by the way, I shout out to the fantastic REPROLABELS.

    Love them.

Here’s my first two. Just finished today.

Based on the Transformers Titans Return Breakaway (He’s GETAWAY darnit) figure.

    First up is Headmaster MINERVA.

Here she is in all her glory

Head : Repainted Crashbash faceplate; head and arms from Titans Return “Autobot Stylor”; main body and upper legs from Titans return “Loudmouth”; lower legs from Titans return “Throttle”.

Body : Repainted Breakaway with added g1 Ratchet Light bars.

    Here is Headmaster SIREN

    Head : Repainted Nightbeat

Body : Repainted Breakaway with a lightbar from a Toy Fire Engine (£5 from Amazon)

By the way. I chose the wrong option. Instead of Heavy:Scratch, I mean MINOR/REPAINT.
    Can you change it?

I like where you're going here, but if I may, I have a few recommendations:
-Either thin your paints or look into different supplies. These look to be using a very thick enamel, which distorts details and looks somewhat sloppy. Enamels, acrylics and lacquers are all good is applied properly, so experiment to see what you like best. Also, the right brush for the job is another key element. I always use 00 sable brushes for detail work, and block brushes for larger areas.
-Primer and prep-work are your friends.
*Lightly sanding rub points with fine sandpaper will prevent paint rub.
*By cleaning the figures thoroughly with soapy water or even alcohol before starting, you set your paints up to look better and smoother in the final result. *Also, primering the figures also keeps color cohesion better, and makes for a good base for your added colors.
-Masking masking masking. Masking is key to making edges crisp. Masking using either clear contact paper, painters tape or liquid frisket will result in clean lines and striking borders.

All in all, you have a good start going here. It won't be long before you're cranking them out with the best!

Nice work. Perhaps there is too much detail in the car modes? Instead of an emergency vehicle, I get the impression they are Nascar cars? Slightly too many stickers/"sponsors"?
