Okay, so I'm going to buy DL Blaster off a seller and he also has ML Soundwave available. I'm very tempted to get him as well, but the total is a bit more than I'm comfortable with, especially with Piranacon and all those Generations figures on the way.

Then I thought, what about my TFC Soundwave? While it's an awesome, awesome G1 figure he would be rather redundant at that point (even though he would go on a different shelf). He's in perfect condition along with the box and everything. It seems MISB copies of him go for about $100 on Ebay. Would I get enough for a MIB one to cover the ML (about $75) and would I feel bad about it after?

I'm generally preferring the posability of Classics/newer figures and have vague plans to sell some of my G1 figures (Jazz, Inferno, Perceptor) as they get updated, but Soundwave is a rather special case...

Well, I can get it cheaper than those places, but it's still fairly costly.

There's no way I'd use Soundwave as an MP3 player or Blaster as a USB hub other than for sheer novelty (Blaster is SO going to be the hub for my Rock Band setup), but I certainly understand why these guys are pricy.

I just don't know if I can stand losing the original :(

Yeah, its hard but you get over it. Figures released in the CHUG line have replaced their original G1 counterparts in my collection. I've kept a few but i'm very happy with the way everything turned out.

I would think you should be able to find a used G1 soundwave for under $40 on ebay, so I'd sell the tfc one, get the used G1, and then use the rest to fund your ML soundwave.

Personally, I'd keep TFC Soundwave and get ML Soundwave, but I understand that would be kind of pricey. Of course, saying that makes me a bit of a hypocrite considering that I sold my TFC Soundwave sometime after I got my ML one. Ultimately, its up to you whether you think one is worth more than the other or if they're both worth it.

Also keep in mind that Generations WFC Soundwave is coming soon.

Dude, if you get the opportunity, get ML Soundwave. He's the only choice for a classics Soundwave.
