I know what you were saying, I was just giving the accurate cost for Red Wing. For others info when deciding what is fair on eBay.
But you are wrong. To prove you wrong in pure cents and sense, I purchased 5 redwings via redcard on target.com 153.81 was my total cost... not 149.90. 153.81 ÷ 5 = 30.76 per figure. Buuuuut this whole discussion was about buying one via ebay and actual cost there. Thanks for playing though, it was fun.
basically that $10 over msrp covers shipping, some people on ebay really arent scalpers but including shipping cost in the price and saying free shipping looks more attractive than saying item is x amount of dollars plus $10 for shipping
Nothing is wrong with what I said. If you are buying using red card on Target it takes 5% off and they don't charge shipping, they charge tax which I didn't say but that doesnt make what I said incorrect. And if you want to get petty, you proved yourself wrong because you said it would be 33 per figure.
Wow, pretty dull, eh? 33 because selling on ebay, more often than not these days, you will PAY TAXES. Remember, I did say ebay... is that word like the movie "birdbox" or something to you? You just naturally pretend it doesn't exist if you skim over it?
I'm dreading what the Ebay price for this guy will be like on Ebay next week. He's the only one left on my list to get, for this round of Siege.
China and hongKong ebay sellers have already set the bar - 60-70 bucks shipped... until they run out, I doubt scalpers will make any sales.
I'm not dull, I just don't like being called out when I didn't even say anything against you, didn't even say you were wrong. I just offered information. I understand what you were saying. You were defending the act of buying something to sell at a higher price on ebay (I'm assuming this, because I don't see why you would be so defensive about it otherwise, and you already bought 5, but maybe you're building an army) You took offense to the other posters use of the term scalper fee and offered up what costs go into selling something on ebay, which is all well and good but no one cares about the costs you gave unless they are comparing it to other methods of purchasing, like buying with the RedCard in this case. Which is why I gave information about buying with the redcard, currently the only way to buy this other than Ebay. And if you can currently get it from Target for $30 total out the door and then pay $40 at Ebay, that is scalping. Not bad but it is by the definition of the word, so please drop the know it all nonsense that discourages casual members from even making a comment.
1. Selling to other members that don't have REDcard, making zero profit, and taking up my own time and effort to help out people in need. 2. Selling at 40$ on ebay is selling it at a loss. How is that scalping? 3. Still dull - but sounds good, let's drop it.
The guy on eBay at $40 likely stole the toys. That's how he's making money. So not technically "scalping" but still not appropriate. That said, someone got one for $40 for go him.
