Sorry for the confusion. You're right in your interpretation. But I'm an admitted Legends fanatic, so I'm not looking at strictly the same sized toys when making this comment.

    A Voyager is $30, and a 3P legends is roughly $30.

    Size difference? Yes.

    Large size difference? Not exactly.

Hollow bits and lack of pins? A new Hasbro tradition!

I have $30 in my wallet and there are alternative 3P toys at that price point that better match the aesthetic I'm going for (i.e. G1): Hasbro purchase not made.

EDIT: Oh, and Hasbro has bad customer service. When I buy a floppy Hasbro toy with really loose joints, I can't do anything. If I have that issue with a reputable 3P company? I likely get free replacement parts. That's the kind of customer service you get with the smaller guy.

I love Hasbro, but lower quality and higher prices do not sit well with me! :(

I’m pretty sure there’s actually a pretty big size difference between legends and voyagers, but it’s your money to spend how you want :p

Thanks :)  I’ve rejiggered the shelves a bit recently in an attempt to spread out by separating season 1&2 into their own shelves and adding some newer characters to season 3s shelf

Redwing here make this seeker mold one with the most repaints since the classics deluxe seeker. (as far as i know) I love it despite its flaws i want this figure to become the next seeker mold that overused to fuck and back. At the very least continue to use this seeker mold for the rest of the "war for cybertron" trilogy and milk it for all its worth.

given that we have four now, im hoping for the coneheads retooled from this mold in whatever part 2 of this line happens to be.

the thrilling 30 armada seeker had 5 distinct color variants
    hasbro starscream
    takara starscream
    takara super starscream (thundercracker)
    funpub skywarp
    funpub ramjet

so technically this mold is still down by 1 becaise the two armada starscreams are pretty different in coloration

Disappointed there is no sign of a pin. That chest plate connection one of the worst I’ve ever encountered on a TF. It practically ejects the chest plate when moving it around. Oh well, guess I’ll just keep adding pins myself.

It's a huge size difference (weigh them). Legends are more like Micromasters in size than they are like deluxes, much less voyagers. You are just being blinded by all the 3P companies that are charging $30+ for legends because they found a niche of collectors willing to pay that price. 5 years ago, people were berating 3p companies when they were charging $50 for deluxes, which is why most of them stopped making deluxes... and a deluxe is twice the size and complexity of a legends figure.

That is without blatant production flaws, sending you parts after the music. And this being common. With Hasbro it is actually news when a figure has a serious flaw. With 3P it comes with the territory.

I don't think nr 5 will wait long. Redwing is very obscure as a character. If they throw in Acidstorm everyone will jump all in. Or Sunstorm. Those 2 are really wanted figures. And if they can alter the design a wee bit and make the coneheads. It will be a massive mold use. Lets hope mold degradation is minimal.

As far as I'm concerned, they can milk the mold as much as they want to. It's an awful mold and I don't see myself ditching my dozen (or more) deluxe seekers for it.

I think the deluxe seekers are awesome. Don't need to ditch them if that is your go-to seeker. Just that for me. The voyager robot size is awesome. I don't really display them in alt mode. And the alt mode is not bad in my opinion.

Voyager size is preferable, I agree, but I think the alt mode is really bad and I can't stand the blotchy paint :(

The blotchy paint as in the battle damage, yeah it really depends on the figure some it looks great with others it is meh. For example with Sideswipe it is pretty much fine, he has accented parts. Yet with Optimus I like it less. And megatron is the worst. I don't have hound but with him it seems not too bad. And Soundwave is fine too in my opinion. Love the Soundwave figure btw.
Starscream is also in between. It isn't overly excessive but with Redwing you can clearly see it is blotted paint. Same like with Megs.

Skytread also pulls it off pretty well. He only has some light silver scratches on his treads/feet which makes sense.
