Maybe that was it. Hasbro wanted to make mirage first because those 3 practically share the same mold. So the fan vote was really nothing, because they were going to choose mirage anyways.

 

keep in mind there has been much less mold sharing in siege than in the prime wars, so that is just going on past precedent

 

They have not made a retool yet besides red alert and barricade. So we will have to wait.

 

red alert is a repaint, barricade is a retool, the rumored leader optimus will be a magnus retool, greenlight is a retool, chromia is a shared engineering, dazzlestrike is a repaint, rumored thundercracker and skywarp will be repaints, rumored firestormer sideswipe will be a repaint. im sure theres more im missing, but thats a good start

 

Reread you post. I'm sure between sunsteaker, Wheeljack and tracks, which gets released first they can reuse the plans for the other 2.

 

And they have two lines that those figures could go in, Wheeljack in Siege and Tracks and Sunny in G:SS.

 

I’m hoping that how this line goes that it’ll be going through the different eras of transformers which I do hope we get more obscure characters. Since ricochet & red swoop are based of their 80’s toys. Also with the rumor of a voyager repaint of megatron in his g2 combat heroes colors, I’m thinking the next wave might be 90’s

This is my idea of how this line might play out.

Wave 1: 80’s
Deluxes Ricochet & Red Swoop

Wave 2: (90’s wasn’t sure how to put beast wars)

Between the Select Series, the WFC battle packs, and the possibility of a random avenue of exclusives (e.g. the Prime Wars Trilogy Amazon exclusives last year), it will be maddening to try to figure out which subline the Seacons might appear in (if at all). This is totally ridiculous, but Hasbro could put out Scorpulator (Devastator Action Master partner) in WFC2, then slightly retool him as Nautilator as part of a super battle pack w/all 6 Seacons. They could release 5 of them in a PotP or Select Series box set. There could be an Entertainment Earth store exclusive box set. Who knows??

 

nothing has ever actually been exclusive to entertainment earth though, not even liokiaser, theres no precedent for that

 

Was he ever offered anywhere else for $110 in early Nov in the US? Other people buying stock and selling for a mark-up or getting shipments later isn't entirely breaking the exclusive moniker. Either way, store exclusives exist as an avenue for selling Transformers outside the standard sublines (or in concert with them)

 

not immediately, but he was sold for retail by other places (i got him from amazon for right about $100 at one point), similarly to studio series thundercracker who became a general online exclusive after the collapse of toysrus or the select series, which despite entertainment earth calling it an exclusive is available at all the usual online retailers

 

About the Nautilator retool, I sure hope not. I always(well, ever since Siege was a thing) speculated that a potential Weaponizer Scorpulator would split into individual weapons for the Constructicons. I definitely do not want Nautilator to also do that. =/

I'm hoping for the Seacons to come in the main line simply because their original G1 gimmick fits perfectly into Siege. Not only can each Piranacon limb form a gun emplacement/turret in uncombined mode, they can also form what would translate to the modern Generations line as Deluxe-sized, combiner-compatible Battlemasters. Not only that, but potentially, with the WFC trilogy's tighter joints, Piranacon would actually be able to hold up a whole Deluxe-sized weapon.

That's my rationale of the situation, at least. As for Monstructor and Dinoking, as long as they have 2-bot torsos, as far as I'm concerned could drop into Selects series.

I would love to see POTP Grimlock and Hun-Gurrr redone with no stickers, only tampos. I know that's dreaming, though.
But having a box set of Dinobots where the clear plastic is redone is yellow to match the cartoon would be sweet.

 

Check out the 1:1 scale potp dinobot kos. I can confirm tampos instead of stickers, had a set for awhile

 

Based on the first couple of Selects...

I think Autobot Targetmasters from Siege molds, Drift/Doomlock from Counterpunch, Tiger Tracks, Nemesis Prime, and a second Springer deco would be my guesses.

 

They could use the springer mold for dropkick.
