Sorry to hear that, I feel for you. Didn't even know it was a thing until I had to research what was going on with mine.

But to keep things semi on-topic, I try to keep the nice expensive sets out of the reach of the cats, but any time I rotate stock or clean the shelves, I will find one of the fuzzballs curled up in the plastic tub of primes like they were all for him. I mean wtf right?

I know when these come in I'll be putting them behind glass. I haven't lost any TFs to cat-nibbling yet but with all those portruding parts I'd rather not tempt them.

Or, if you fear having to pay more for the set, spend the extra $30 on shipping and order from Robot Kingdom. If you are considering dropping more than $150, save yourself the sanity and take the plunge if you waiting isn't a comfortable option.

 

I tell ya what, not being able to find the TRU boxset has really bummed me out. Seriously contemplating just canceling my preorders and not pursuing any more exclusives under this line.

 

I mean, do what you feel is right, but considering your set will be snatched up by somebody else I'm not sure Hasbro will get your message.

Thankfully all I REALLY wanted from Velocitron was Fastlane. I'm sure Takara will get around to making the clones so I won't be bothered about not having Hasbro's.

 

I ended up ordering mine from IDToys in the UK in order to dodge a hefty customs and postage bill to get it from BBTS to the UK.

You got the message and felt the need to deter a person upset with how Hasbro is distributing these exclusive sets.

Why is that?

 

Funny thing is that the only one out of this set that I really wanted was Pounce. MetalHawk is an okay 2nd. And the rest would've been sold at normal price to the closest bidder. If they have more sets in stock when this releases then this will still be the case.

It's kind of a shame when a Legends class figure is the standout in a set that carries a Leader, Voyager and Deluxe as well. The other 2 sets need to step their game up IMO.

 

I wonder if they are just trying to keep the trademark alive. In order to avoid losing their rights in the mark, they must show regular use in commerce. Perhaps an exclusive web product only purchased by collectors is a good opportunity to display it on the packaging without confusing the general public.

 

My guess on the Beast Wars logo:

First set was on Velocitron. This set on Cybertron. Maybe one of the theorized final two sets will be set on Eukaris and they've designed a generic package set box template for the next three sets that has the BW logo in anticipation of that.

Probably the Intelligence set, with either a Hasbro Lio Primal for the voyager or maybe a Bat Primal for the deluxe. Or do both a Lio Primal for the voyager and a gator Megatron for the deluxe.
