http://ps3.ign.com/articles/682/682185p1.html Which IP do you think they are working on? I'm hoping for Fighters Megamix 2 but my money is on Nights or Burning Rangers.
Streets of Rage was abandoned for that ass kicking Die Hard Arcade game which was followed by some launch title for the dreamcast whose name I don't remember, but I could see why sega might want to revitalize the franchise.
I kinda doubt Sonic Team would let a U.S. team do NiGHTS or Burning Rangers. Streets of Rage seems possible, as does Shinobi or Space Harrier. We haven't seen Wonder Boy, Kid Chameleon, or Alex Kidd in a long time either.
ooh i'd forgotton about eternal champions. there definately seems to be a hankering for streets of rage. i'd love to see an updated 2d version but i wouldnt sniff at a 3d one either.
2D for the win! Get an awesome animation house to do Cels and go from there. This must be done or furious justice will rain down from the skies to smite those who do not comply.
maybe not, but sonic team is always doing sonic projects and they did let an inhouse US team work on Sonic Xtreme and again with an external developer with Sonic Shuffle. Sonic Team hasnt even touched the NiGHTS or Burning Rangers properties since their initial releases. If ST doesnt want to do Nights than maybe they should just incorporate him into the Sonic Universe. Dynamite Detective was the Jap name of Die Hard Arcade and the US name of the game that would act as a sequel to DHA the successor to the Streets of Rage franchise.
