What do Legends figures have anything to do with him? That size class is way too small for Rung.

If Hasbro/Takara have been planning a "Reflector" set this whole time...the vehicle mode being a bit bland would make sense. It was never intended as such, and they just sorta invented it from whole cloth to justify the single release.

But like you said, the upside if you buy three Refraktors and they end up doing Reflector is the figure itself is an excellent troop builder, especially with the riot shield accessory.

Actually, now that I think on it, I hope they give him a new alt-mode as well. "???" wouldn't make it too popular. :lol

I wonder if it is possible to put a targetmaster (in gun mode) where the flash bulb would normally go? It looks like the ports on the feet end up there but there might be a ridge preventing there from being enough space to fit and have a flash bulb type thing look right. But a battlemaster that does become his flash bulb would be interesting, since the flash bulb was one of G1 Reflector's weapons.

I love the look of the sketch. For now I'll pick up three of the retail Reflectors and see what happens later! Great find!

I've mentioned before in the Speculation thread, but I kind of think we'll see 1-4 "legend class" figures released at the deluxe pricepoint with weaponizer armor (e.g. legend size Bumblebee w/ground vehicle alt-mode, then clip on saucer wings for Sunbow Cybertron alt-mode that are also shields/hover board). Maybe Rung could fall in that category?

I opted for MechFans Toys\' Camera Brothers instead. Comes with a ton more weapons/accessories and cost me less than three Siege Refrakters at retail would have cost after finding them 3-4 months after they were reportedly found in the wild.

If he came with it, his transforming scooter backpack could partsform his "ornament" mode into a motorcycle as well as changing into his wee vehicle.

This makes things difficult.  Do I buy one Reflector and wait to see if they do a three pack with extra parts or do I buy three Reflectors then another set of three with extra parts?  If this hypothetical three pack is in toy colors, I\'ll go ahead and get three regular Reflectors.  Ugh, this is a predicament!

I prob would as well. If they re-release the exact same bots with the accessories, I'm going to be very sad.

Until there's any other hint, I'm just taking this as a nod to "Refraktor's" origins in Microman and G1, kinda like the "MR-34" Spoons homage on ROTF Deadlift.

Just speculation. Could be a wave 2 of the G1-decoed figures just like we've seen with Prime and Megatron, cell shaded renditions. Although it would be nice to have some hindsight to know if this would be in fact that kind of release as a 3 pack box set. If it was an SDCC set, I'm not sure I'd be willing to chase that down.

Or they could really be nostalgic and require robot points from Jetfire and Omega Supreme to get him for free. (wink wink nudge nudge)

Definitely conjecture but it does seem more in the format of Greenlight's Orthia teaser, rather than just a reference nod.
