While in general, "never say never" is probably good advice... this is pretty close to an exception, IMHO. VERY hard to imagine actually being done.

Overbite is the only one I really could buy at these prices, but only if he had that dark azure/blue seen in Marvel comics .It's a pity that Hasbro didn't consider this.I'd use him as a Decepticon shark and also an extra limb for Decepticon combiners especially Abominus.
Seacons Takara are beautiful but so expensive and are too Japanese as a set for their colours,if Hasbro also have released another one with that exclusive 2008 colours would be much better, although Marvel colours for Overbite, still win.

I don't think the current colors are Japanese as much as they are a product of the 1980s, and it's been scientifically proven that it is impossible to be too much from the 1980s.

I wouldn't say no to variety though.

That is true. It's more likely we'll just *get* a Depth Charge before we'd see this repainted as such.

I don't understand the uproarious complaints about the price of these figures. Do y'all not remember the prices for the Takara Legends repaints of the Titans Return line? One major seller I recall sold TR Scouge for $44. Hell I saw Takara Gnaw going for anywhere between $16-24. BBTS right now even has the Takara version of Topspin for $39.

It's been discussed ad nauseam... Some people just don't read, and some are complaining about the cost from resellers.

It's a two-fold thing... On the one hand, Takara-Tomy does tend to overcharge simply because they can. They pass that onto Hasbro via Pulse and they can't afford to lose money either, nor is it fair. On the other hand, fans are cheap, entitled, and think everything should be priced at BW era/Unicron Trilogy pricing. It's not that cheap to produce these figures, but it's not as expensive as Takara-Tomy would have you believe, it's more in the middle.

That said, this is the price asked, this is the price we're paying and considering they could be screwing us harder, we should thank our lucky stars that we can even be here discussing this mess.

As a side note, I wonder how much of the planning for WFC blocked (for lack of a better word) a couple of the more obvious CW retools/repaints for the Autobot cars to go along with Jazz and Inferno (I'm mostly thinking of Bluestreak or Ratchet, but Sideswipe seemed like a plausible pre-planned use of the Jazz engineering). I think we'll see Depth Charge as a real figure in the not too distant future, so I could see it being on a "not worth the effort list" for CW/PotP reuses

    Excuse my ignorance, but are these being released individually, two per wave;
or in 2-packs, one box per wave?

Hard for Hasbro to consider something they didn't have a part in. And Takara probably doesn't care much about the marvel comics.

I think Jazz, Swoop, Wreck-Gar and Ricochet are basically meant for Inferno now.

True,I simply intended for Marvel colours, something more metallic and US robotic, different from bright anime colours and characters, just as Hasbro proceeded with Titans Hasbro Scourge or ,even better, art of these years on US boxes confirm this.
I've also just noticed new wave Seacons,in bot mode Sea Wing is still a little different from CW toyline but Nautilator for grey chest, headsculpt and also other colours is much more similar to Hasbro approach and axe is just as Off Road.I like him better I hoped.

If Overbite keeps Nautilator "spirit" I could buy him, even at these prices.

Is it possible Reprolabels will do a conversion set? There seems to be a lot of people here asking for comic-styled details. Maybe if you all band together and ask on their Facebook group, they might oblige and include a few extras.

It's worked before. I asked them to add some bot logos to their Loudpedal set, and they did it if I recall.

I'm still mad they wanted 60 dollars for a retool of Hun-Grrr. That was the only one I really needed, I could have just used other vaguely blue limbs to finish the job.

They read the room pretty well though, making Computron and Piranhacon the ones to jerk you around over 200 dollar special collections.

Yeah, how dare they charge more for something that's a smaller run and therefore more expensive?!? The nerve of them!

Computron wasn’t that much.... I paid $100 for the set at anime-export (just looked it up).

That’s the thing though, they’re not really charging much more, it’s an import, and $60 for a voyager is well within Takaras typical pricing
