Yeah, even as a "down the road" possibility... it's VERY hard to see a Seawing-as-Depth Charge ever coming out. Even if Fun Pub were still doing their thing, I'd have thought this one remote.

It might be cool as a fun one-off, or a BW themed combiner. For an actual update he'd probably need to be a bit bigger. I'm not sure his actual scale in the show (leader maybe?) but his original toy was huge. And they would need his eternal rival, Rampage.

So. Instead of Depth Charge... How bout Manta Ray? (The McDonalds Exclusive Beast Wars character.)

Yep, especially considering this combiner is a Takara project and they even use the torso of god Neptune in turtles comic

So these are only being released in two packs right? No single releases? I only ask because Mighty Ape is only listing one figure from each pack.

They're only being released as singles. No two-packs that I'm aware of. It's just that they are being put up for sale at the same time in pairs.

I really hope that's incorrect, $70 (nz) for a deluxe is highway robbery.

$70 NZ seems too "cheap" for two - everyone's been complaining about price for a reason. USD they're $35 (just under 2x the price of a normal retail deluxe), which as far as Google says is just under $55 NZD.

Actually, I just did the math with what almost everyone other than Pulse is charging for them ($40 USD) and adding the markup (20%) that Mighty Ape seems to add to a normal retail figure (Jetfire) and it comes out to $75 NZD.

He means $70 NZ for each deluxe figure! :scalper

Suggest you try OhMYPrimus: You are being redirected...

Only catch is that OMP only offers them as 2 packs. Nautilator + Seawing come in at NZ$99 (US$65.70) plus shipping, and Snaptrap + Skalor are NZ$140.80 (US$93.44) plus shipping.

Incidentally, the shipping isn't excessive, either!

Added bonus: you only have to pay an initial deposit (plus shipping) upfront; the balance isn't payable until the items ship. They also tell me that you can consolidate subsequent orders, Pile-Of-Loot-style (and receive reduced shipping, accordingly).

These guys are the cheapest I've found (including shipping), and having pre-ordered Nautilator & Seawing through them, I'm looking forward to adding Overbite and Tentakil!

Truth be told I haven't been following the thread, I just want my ferocious fish bois.

But seriously that's pretty steep for POTP remolds, it's not much more to get a TFC season.

But yeah it's still a lot for a deluxe remold. I dunno, maybe I'll get 'em, I sure want 'em :p

Browse through some Takara listings and you’ll see that these prices are fairly average for Takara/imported items which these are

I don't get why EB put up the prices on the next two. There's really no reason to do so. I get the general inflation from $35-$60, given paint, exclusivity and engineering...but going from $60-$70 between two waves within the same series is baffling.

Generally EB has given me great customer service, like today when they fixed an error with a special edition, but sometimes they do weird stuff like this and it's really confusing.

EDIT: Some of my friends and I have been talking, and it's likely because of the dollar crash last week. Just a hypothesis, but who knows.

Not to sound like a fanboy, but like I said earlier, OhMyPrimus.com works out cheaper - even allowing for the 'free shipping' you get when you use EB's Click & Collect.
I can't really see any justification for EB to suddenly hike the prices (has anyone else done this???)
