For all the new tooling, I will happily pay $200 for a boxset.

 

To everyone complaining about the price: assuming these guys are coming to Hasbro Pulse, they'll probably be cheaper there than at TTM. Studio Series Long Haul goes for ¥4,860, or $45 and change, whereas on Pulse he goes for $30, so as long as the Seacons come to Pulse, all should be fine.

 

Probably due to the amount of retooling? Shackwave/Stepper/Red Swoop was just a repaint and Lancer just had a new head (I think)

Looks better in color. I am still not loving the set but they did put effort into them looking the part. The cannon-feet are a nice touch. Skalor I wish had a red lower jaw, and I still don\'t like the partsforming,but at least his tail rotates out to turn into a cannon. Seems the sword will also be composed of the other swords the Seacons come with!
People talk about their wallet hurting, but how much are these gonna cost compared to WFC deluxes and voyagers? EDIT: oh I just saw. Well 65-38$ is not gonna cut it for me, that's third party prices...

Except those are not Takara retools. You should compare this to the existing Takara retools on Hasbropulse, like Star Convoy, who is 80$ on HasbroPulse

 

Was literally looking at the TFC guys right now before seeing these pics.

Looks good, but I’m not sure at that price. CW/ siege prices is one thing, but these are pricey. If I’m gonna spend that much I might as well go all the way and get the tfc guys.

Not sure I can justify paying 40 bucks for a cw/potp deluxe

What a great use of the combined-mode hands... simple, but effective!
While an obvious nod to the G1 figures' weapon stands, it has the benefit of not only saving on parts, but also making efficient use of the parts it does have!
On the down-side, we now know why Piranacon no longer has the insanely-cool blades on his fists that the G1 figure had (over to you, 3rd Party upgraders...)

Regardless:

 

Quite impressed but will pass due to no affiliation with them.

Also the fact they made these out of the Hung gur and rippersnapper molds is a testament to how retools should be done.

 

Now, this is TOP tier generations toy.

They're fucking fantastic.

Honestly I don’t even need a whole new Liokaiser. Maybe if they’d offer the Leozack and Jallguar seperate that’d be nice.

I did mention retools ..lol. Snaptrap is a lmost a complete overhaul of Hungar.
