that explains the free shipping then   good to know that pulse does that because i had no idea

 

I had no idea either until Star Convoy came up for pre-order. I didn't have Premium and was worried I would have to pay shipping, but it showed free shipping.
Ever since then when I order on Pulse I make sure to order over $50.
I dug around the Pulse site and found this:

And it applies to the whole order, like when I ordered Lancer. Lancer was available right away, but was under $50, so I added Astrotrain and Apeface preorders and the whole order got free shipping. Lancer shipped that week.

 

When does Pulse bill for a pre-order?

 

When the order ships.

However, they do put a temp check on your payment method, so you will see it show up as soon as you order, but it will drop off within 2-3 days and not actually take the money until it ships.

 

It’s no surprise at all that they’re using the TT names... (and honestly they should since it’s an import) However, when they first listed MP Blackarachnia, it said BLACKWIDOW but changed it after the fact. So it’s possible they’ll do the same here too... at least Star Convoy didn’t get “Americanized”..

 

I don't know what to do. I don't want to pay $235 for King Poseidon, but I want King Poseidon. I'm not cheap and I know the prices are in alignment with previous Tak/Tom releases. And I imagine he'll end up with some corner-cutting like Big Powered.

Maybe splitting him up over multiple purchases will lessen the sting, but I'd rather a box set. Pointless speculation: King Poseidon will be sold separately. God Neptune will get a box set.

You were correct this time. I can admit that. But you were guessing based on how Star Convoy was treated, just like the rest of us. And I still say the Masterpiece items were treated just like they always have been, maybe with or without region specific packaging and price variation. And there have been tons of items that were "Takara exclusive" when they were shown initially only to be released by Hasbro directly a few months later. How many people bought the Defensor and Bruticus Takara box sets just for deluxe Groove and shuttle Blast-Off? Only to see Hasbro bring Groove over basically unchanged months later? So we waited a couple years for shuttle Blast-Off, mainly due to the line moving away from combiners when the shuttle mold was released and then Hasbro released him next as a companion item to another line of combiners (and arguably did him in better colors and construction). Hasbro got me on the Seacons, but I just decided to skip Unicron because of it.

Well, since I’ll be buying these guys separately, I’d say they most definitely will now 

 

Not all guesses are equal. If it was guessing, it was a VERY solid guess based not just on Star Convoy, but other past precedent just since Hasbro Pulse began. For Pulse to have done anything else would have been extremely surprising.

 

I imagine there's ALWAYS a chance, but I wouldn't count on it. IMHO, it's more likely that, if and when God Neptune is done, THAT will be a box set, but not King Poseidon, which will be completed via these separate releases.

 

Pulse "began" in February of this year IIRC. Maybe January? They have SEVEN MONTHS of "history". The "history" of this brand, just going back to "Classics" from 2006 is thirteen years, longer if we go back to 1984. These traditions everybody is talking about are very young traditons IMO.

Hasbro must be reading this thread because many of the Takara tomy items (that have always specifically been called out as such on pulse) now specifically say they are imported items. Both the seacons and lio convoy say it, though I’m not sure if they applied it to older listings. And it was more than a guess, it was a logic based assessment derived from the available information being extrapolated further toward future releases

 

Hasn't happened for any of the three combiners completed since Unite Warriors

 

It turns out I wasnt wasnt logged in....... I dont know why but when Im not logged in it shows 35$ in taxes for anything i put in the cart..... but when I logged in it showed 2$ in taxes which is much much better.

 

Such a pity.

I hope they someday do an Elita-1 with all the girls now. Hasbro's botch job of it burnt out all enthusiasm. But all together with premium paint, effeminate combiner feet and hands, maybe their own super weapon; instant buy.

 

Well. Pre-ordered on Pulse. Didn't wanna wait on BBTS. If Pulse ships Gulf and Turtler in two separate boxed I'm gonna be mad. That's stupid as hell.

 

Ordered these two on Pulse. Think I'm going to hang onto my bbts preorders for a bit longer before I cancel them there. Plenty of time to decide.
