    Thanks for explaining.

Else I was thinking of that red & blue spider guy that was casted in the movie called Homecoming or something.

    I'm confused.

Are you mocking the people that don't like/want the change, or are you making a statement for yourself and those that support the change?

Because it works the same for either crowd.

The thing is, it's all pandering, whether it's pandering to diversity or pandering to 80's nostalgia. Businesses gotta make money.

Well, I have no horse in the race about Matt Trakker's ethnicity, so I'll just poke my head in and say that if anyone ends up buying this set with plans to break it up, I only really want Rom.

I think a LOT of people are gonna be picking this set up just for Rom.

As long as they're based on the cartoon and not IDW, I won't complain what gimmick they do with them.

Cartoon or G1 toy, I agree. I still think IDW needs to have its own line of toys apart from Generations...

Now these are sucky designs. I particularly despise Swoop's redesign most of all. His 1980s form looks far better and more appealing.

I really don't know why they saw fit to change it.

Generations is supposed to celebrate the brand. It's not supposed to exclusively be slavishly cartoon accurate toys.

Exactly. Classics was stated from the beginning to be updated versions of old favorites. As it's progressed further and further, there's been more and more griping if it's not a slavish recreation of the original.

The issue happens when you DO have slavish cartoon accurate on some figures...and then IDW designs on others with the idea that they're supposed to some how mesh together cohesively. There are folks trying to put together a Lost Light display and disappointed they aren't getting the figures as they'd like them...whilst there are G1 fans trying to put together their shelves and then disappointed that IDW styling is gumming it up. It would be fantastic if Hasbro would create a Generations IDW subline to cater to those fans...but that's just this fan's opinion.

I believe the subline already exists. All you have to do is pick and choose what you buy. ;)

We have plenty to broadcast from, given how many these forums have made out of molehills..

    And yet the irony.....

Supposedly CW and TR being too G1 slavish according to certain voices within the community........but yet, they complain about stuff like TR Powermaster Prime's non-G1 styled chest piece - while buying into the hype that is Super God Ginrai and all those Perfect Effect upgrades to make it even more geewunnish.....

Just one of the many examples.

    Guys!

So, Generations is still Generations ; it's just in ways you either overlook it, or simply deny it acknowledgement.

This isn't for me. I have the other Matt Trakker they did. I have Takara's Jetfire. This is quite possibly the worst and most disappointing way to bring Micronauts back. I don't care one teeny bit about Visionaries. Flo Rida Block leaves me cold. Oh, and ROM looks terrible. So, try again on ROM and Micronauts and I will gladly take another look. Until then, not anything I need here.

One of the people upset over Trakker apparently thought comparing themselves to TRUKK NOT MUNKEY was a good idea.
