Does anyone else feel seriously let down by the fact no new figures were shown at SDCC and yet were reveled at botcon a month ago. I honestly dont think this is a fair thing for hasbro to do and dont see why they are purposeley witholding some of the preveiws shown at botcon from the majority of fans.

I may be biased having gone to BotCon, but I'm pretty pleased that Hasbro decided to keep the sneak previews exclusively for the Transformers convention. Besides, it's not like it's the only time anyone's going to see these figures. In a few months time we'll all have our grubby little fingers on them.

They took their time and exposure and used it to hype their new network to a wide audience. Understandable, but too bad they didn't make time to show the Generations line. I wanted to see them again, to have photos to examine in detail.

The Q and A time could have easily been done without.

    People are never satisfied.

In the past people complained that Hasbro revealed too much at SDCC and didn't give them enough at BotCon. The fans felt entitled to getting more from Hasbro at BotCon since it is a celebration of Transformers.

So then Hasbro shows a crap ton of stuff at BotCon to do the Transformers fans a solid, and now people are bitching that they didn't show anything new at SDCC?

Make up your minds about what you want to complain about. It's getting tiresome.

I would rather they show everything at SDCC then Botcon, at least at SDCC you can take and post pictures from it unlike Botcon which controls all that stuff with a fist of iron.

I've got Drift and Thrust coming in the mail tomorrow, along with a lot of other cool toys that I've bought from the fabulous Junkion Exchange here. I'm sitting here fiddling with some sweet ROTF figures right now. Oh, and there are about a million toys coming out in 2010-11 that are going to be seriously fun.

    SDCC? Eh. I won't cry.

I mean, really, we KNOW what's coming, so we've got that to be excited about. Personally, my wallet and I like the idea of pacing it out, and I for one will enjoy the time-release goodness of seeing each new toy as it is either revealed on the internet, leaked individually, or arrives in the store. This is going to be a fun year, and I intend to savor it as much as possible!

Actually I think it was a perfect balance.

Botcon got the new toy previews.

SDCC got the TF: Prime previews.

Gives each one something special and unique.

Let's face it, had the reverse been true and the Prime stuff had been kept under wraps, you'd have been complaining about that too.

And that's why I think they didn't show them at SDCC. At Botcon they have that control to not let people take pictures and none of that Generations stuff was even in the prototype phase, it was all CAD images and whatnot. I'm sure they want to until it's closer to release and they have something closer to the finale product before they start showing stuff to a wider audience.

    erm.....................................................nope

personally i feal real cheated by hasbro as a fan who doesnt have the cash to go to botcon and doesnt live anywhere near the US
Its like hasbro is classing other fans as less imprtant just because we didnt give them as much money. I wish someone would post pics somewhere if there is some id rather the panels stop if there going to carry on being so elitist about them. In fact i think the treat that they would stop them is patticulaily pathetic on hasbros part.

Is it wrong that I quite like to be teased?

We'll get to see the new figures eventually. The pleasure is in the anticipation don't ya know.

Honestly, I am glad they didn't show any pics. It sucked waiting as long as we did for Bludgeon after seeing his cool pics from SDCC last year. Plus I try to limit my exposure of new toys, so when I seen them in stores my eyes explode from the awesome goodness.

The bolded is why I really dont care what the didn't show at SDCC. I was under the impression that you guys were shown full color protoypes at Botcon, and noone seemed bothered enough to say "oh they were just concept arts"

So when someone finally got around to posting that bit of info in the SDCC thread I stopped caring.

Why does it even matter? Even if we see the images, it is not going to put the toy in our hands any faster.

This year for sure that was the case as they were giving the hardcore fans that very early sneak peek of what's to come, I'm sure if they had the actual toys to show off they would have showed those off at SDCC as well.

It is just disappointing that Hasbro had nothing to show at their own panel; why did they even hold one, if they weren't going to show any of their as of yet unrevealed products (save for the Megatron repaint)? I think that if it had been just the Prime panel, people would have still been disappointed, but less so. Then, we would have at least known that Hasbro really wasn't going to show anything besides Prime. It also doesn't help that Hasbro said "Stay tuned for SDCC", either...

EDIT: I have to wonder though if Hasbro WAS going to show new stuff, but then decided against it at the last moment for some reason. It would also help explain why this panel was mostly about stuff that was already out, as well. Didn't the same happen at Botcon? They wanted to show more, but then heard at the last moment that they couldn't?

There was a limit on some stuff but I am not sure about Blaster. I know there was a limit on Galactus as I picked up a few of them for friends. Thankfully there was a limit also as I had to carry 4 of them and they were HEAVY as heck...

Right? Elitist Hasbro bastards. How dare they make THE OFFICIAL HASBRO TRANSFORMERS COLLECTOR'S CONVENTION a special event. I can't believe they would want the members of THE OFFICIAL HASBRO COLLECTOR'S CLUB to have an exclusive experience that keeps them coming back year after year. It really is shameful of them.

Huh? Blaster did NOT sell out at SDCC. I casually walked into line enar the end of Sunday and bought one. No need for a ticket or an appointment or anything.
