This. I need this. I've never cared about any of the exclusives before, but this is outta sight! Oh, man...Gotta get a price point and hope they don't sell out before I can nab one!

I think there is a decent chance that this does not sell out. It's hard to say, but I don't see the level of excitement for this set that we have seen for sets in previous years like Metroplex, Bruticus, Reissue Soundwave, etc.

 

With the amount of people in this thread who seem to like this exclusive, I don't know where you're coming up with the "terrible idea" cause what I want is to have that person who came up with the idea to be given more opportunities to create something new.

 

I really don't know why a silly exclusive like this has people riled up. if you don't like don't buy it. no need to complain about how terrible it looks

Sounds like we might be seeing more band merch featuring the Knights of Unicron. Given the products he's typically involved with I'd imagine t-shirts and posters are likely.

 

I would be awfully surprised if this one ends up being hard to come by...

....I haven't wanted an Exclusive this badly since the SDCC Starscream Skystriker. Though I may actually BUY this one (hopefully it's *not* hard to come by). As far as I'm concerned this is exactly what an SDCC Exclusive should be about, crazy off the wall ideas and themes.

When someone mentions the 80s there's two very specific things that pop into my head. Transformers. And big haired glam metal bands. Now after 30 years, those two awesome things have merged into one of the greatest SDCC Exclusives ever. The only thing that could make this set better is if it came with a copy of the original Transformers movie and a little Blaster shaped soundbox that plays clips of the songs.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go slip into some spandex, spray a dozen cans of hairspray into my hair and rock out to Lion and Stan Bush.

I could see this as their college years. Jamming out in Optimus' Garage as Old Man Kup next door tells them to turn down their "Pit-Spawn Music!"
