I hope it's not too hard to buy off of HTS

 

It's so photoshopped I can't even tell what's chromed and what isn't.

 

Especially if you're going after multiple items

While I prefer the original personally, I still consider this a work of art. It looks awesome. Makes me wish I was a con-goer. Just to see it up close and in person. (Not to buy.)

 

cant believe im contemplating buying this as I cant stand the chrome, but I like everything else about it.
Price dependent, maybe Ill buy both sets and mix the parts, then sell the normal pieces with the chrome attached

 

Does the SDCC one have a bigger head or is it just a different sculpt? I can't tell for sure from the angle of the photos.

Those purple chrome chests aren't going to be winning any friends.

 

I think it's mostly the same but just coloured differently - the forehead is black instead of grey. The visor is different though.

I don't think they can make the head any bigger, as it folds away during Hook's transformation.

 

He's English. Believe it out not, saying plurals incorrectly where collectives are concerned is actually correct over there.

Hehe, I'm kidding. I love playing with words, but I'm also a massive pedant for grammar and punctuation.. Besides, you've only got to speak with a Geordie (that's North Eastern) to know we Brits can mangle our mother tongue with the best of them!

 

Has anyone done a side-by-side comparison with retail Devy yet?

And what exactly is different? The head sculpt, chrome chest and mix barrel? Is that all??? Seems like the biggest draw is "get it first!" I'm just having a hard time telling the difference with regular retail...

Online wise, HTS will be cheaper, cause they have 15% off (or more) from time to time.

Nope. The pic of the original Hasbro version was the largest I could find (from TFW no less). The SDCC pic from today's main page is a lot larger though.

 

The cartoon wad inconsistent. Sometimes he had the visor and sometimes not, but he did have it in the movie.

 

They also have different head? i like the SDCC version but i think the regular version has better head.

 

Half of the individual bots also have chrome chests.

It's hard to see through the massive layer of Photoshop.

You know your Photoshop is out of control when chrome looks almost the same as unpainted plastic...
