I thought I read reports that is wasn't selling out at SDCC. Besides Star Wars was anything really even that hot of item?

 

the missile thingy from GI JOE went day one. I don't think that was even available day 2. Primitive Optimus sold like hot cakes too as did the SW stuff, as always. I didn't go Sunday but the collection kit was still available as was the movie prime so expecting lower demand and higher supply for those two.

 

I thought Primitive Prime sold out by Saturday so it is probably a "hot item" relatively speaking.

 

Silly question, but is this supposed to be actual truck tire from the movie prop? Are there even enough tires to cut up for all the Voyager Primes? Or do you suppose this is just an authentic piece of Western Star truck tire, from the many, many that are no doubt produced?

 

Oh I'm not harping on it. Just saying it's the only justification for the significant price hike versus the primitive prime which is a 25% markup versus the voyager's 66%

Well considering the dozens of tires used across numerous films, I don't doubt it's authenticity. By my math there should be enough chunks for about 500 figures I'd say.

 

There is no mark up on Primitive PMOP, $49.99 is the MSRP for the leader class toys.

 

The Skateboard Prime is limited to one per customer... that should relieve some anxiety.

Everything else has a limit of 2.

 

odd that they didn't put the same limit on the missile command because that thing just flew out the doors like, well, a missile I suppose.

 

It was $40 in my area when pmop was released. We just had the hike to $50. I was going off old numbers.

 

I'm also surprised Primitive OP is so close to MSRP. As for movie prime, I'm going to ebay the tire to offset the markup of the actual figure (assuming I get it)

 

I wouldn't doubt the authenticity either. Any stunt driving is going to need to tires with fresh tread for best traction and safety. They probably aren't using standard over the road all weather tires either, most likely a softer more aggressive rubber.

 

If your having trouble selling off Jetfire you could ask G1 Evac. I know he wanted a non-chromed version of the fig.
