Okay, so if it's Kabuki inspired, then I guess this actually isn't a fembot after all, right?  

It's Arcee-Furmangate all over again! Oh, the cruelty Hasbro wreaks on this fandom!  

I concur. It looks like the lamest species of bad fan-art. The design could be worse. Barely. Not all that interested at this point, though I'll wait and see what we actually get in plastic.

I do agree with those who said a naginata would be a way cooler weapon choice. I might actually buy it just for that reason.

What the...don't like the face....

 

It's not too bad. I can dig it...but my only beef is that she needs a gun or two. Even just a pistol would be fine.

 

After watching the reveal video, I must say that the sketches they showed of her looked a lot better than the colored promo picture. Makes the head actually look decent in the sketches. I like the idea of her sword charging up in the sheath and possibly having a quick draw style fighting technique like Setsuka from Soul Calibur. So unless they really screw up the toy of her, I'll pick her up.  

 

I actually quite like the look of this character in the sketches. Pretty neat with the kabuki-style makeup. I predict that we'll see a repaint of her as Slipstream in the near future, since she does share similarities. I am just so happy that she is a fembot though. It means we can have more fembots both in IDW and the rest of the franchise! And she is also an Autobot fembot jet. That's a first for the franchise, iirc.

I'm a fan of the design, and don't see anything wrong with the promo art. Who ever drew it did a great job. Can't wait to see the actual toy.

 

Now we just need a voice chip included that states "TORNADO BLADE", everytime she unsheathes the sword.

All I wanted was a new jet or space ship & for once the fans didn't choose the opposite. I love it!

I was positive they would choose another car, because you know, there aren't enough car Transformers.  

 

Neat - could use a few more fembots. Kabuki design is a great idea!

 

Looks like Thrust banged the granny out of Slipstream and they had a child.

 

Considering we're at a concept art phase at the moment, It will be interesting to see what concessions will be made down the line to transformation design and to budget. I suspect all that color detail on the head and face will be simplified quite a lot by the time a final production model comes out.

 

I was at the panel and as soon as I saw it. I was on board 110%. Although her alt mode could look better, I dig her Ninjika vibe. As always, any new fembot is a breathe of fresh air. Besides you know she's going to get a Slipstream repaint. So as far as I'm concerned, its a win win situation. GREAT JOB HASBRO!!
